PC random issue - black screen

hi all, my ASUS G752vt has black screen issue when loading windows 10.

After the ROG logo screen, it goes to black screen. but it does have sound (eg: plug/unplug USB...etc)

tried to look up google, and some users has the similar issue, but i couldnt find a solution for me.

note:

tried update to the latest bios

Asus UX31A HDMI problem

Hi guys,

cut the story short. I had this laptop working (connect to HDMI TV, TV1), but it didn't work again after it display black screen (TV) and no sound on my second TV. Then, it no longer display output on TV1 anymore.

currently on Windows 10. Revert back to factory reset (windows 7), but still no luck.

Other than the HDMI, everything still works well.

troubleshooting:

1.) using mini HDMI converter + HDMI = no luck
2.) Factory restore to windows 7 = no luck
3.) bought a new Mini HDMI-HDMI cable = no luck

There are bunch of forum on the internet, discussing the problem with this laptop + HDMI issue. Most of them suggest driver issue. but couldnt find a real solution for this.

any software can check whether the MINI HDMI port is in working condition?

Whoever has this laptop had/having this issue?

How to get content while playing video?

Apple iBook G4 slow boot

hi all. I am not a mac guy. Not very familiar to mac product.

I just got a iBook G4 (pretty old tho), done a fresh installation 10.4 and update to 10.4.11.

Very slow boot, takes 3-5min. After boot into the OS, it will not runs slow.

Anyone can tell me how to fix the slow boot?

Cloning laptop partition

Hi guys,

The situation is, I have a 256GB SSD, and would like to clone my existing 1TB laptop hdd (with systems recover partition..bla bla bla). Including the C: drive, the laptop hdd has 3 partitions. The reason is, the laptop could be restore to factory setting using the SSD.

What will be the best (most user friendly software), and it would be the best if cloning software is freeware.

My Questions is: Will the laptop runs very hot while running game?

I tested HP DV6 i7-2670QM with HD6770M full hd screen. The temperature can basically make melt my chocolate bar within minutes.

This laptop is on sales at the moment in Australia. AUD699 or equal to RM2200-2400. Worth to get it?

Create a factory default recovery partition

I mis-delete the recovery partition when trying to install win7.

Question: How to create a recovery partition back to what it used to be? IF I am able to borrow my friend laptop (same spec), how can the job be done?

Apple Cinema lcd problem

hi guys,

i got this lcd screen from a friend of mine. he didnt turn the screen for nearly a year.

i try to turn it on, and there is color different along the edge, a square border near the edge.. please ref to the pic, as i cant describe it.

could it be the reason monitor didnt turn on for a while, and require a warm up by turning the screen for hours? is this common problem for a monitor?

added: it looks like pink tint on the screen as well.

Wifi LED light not on

Hi guys, I need help with this issue. Laptop is running win7 at the moment. Everything works good except the Wifi Light is off.

Wifi works fine, FN + F2 to turn the wifi on and off. But the light is cannot be turn on. Tried to google the problem but cannot find a solution to fix this.

cpu upgrade

Hi guys, I need some suggestion.

My current rig:
i5-2500 (non-k)
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV
1x4GB ram.

I have an option to upgrade cpu now.
Will I see significant performance different if upgrade the CPU to i7-2600k

Things to be considered:
1.) I could/might need to top up RM200-300 MAX to upgrade (sell my i5), for "FUTURE PROOF"?
2.) will only use the rig to play Dota2/LOL, and photoshop.
3.) IF the upgrade is not required, maybe will use the money to get a HD7750 2GB GDDR5 (any different against GDDR3 version)?
4.) Another 4GB ram will be added.

Last question:
I believe this rig will still serve me well for the next, 2-3years, at least?

Unlock hdd

Hi Guys,

I have locked hdd from a friend of mine. I connect the drive with external sata drive.

It can be detected in both bios and windows, and tried both option (ref to the screen shot), but I got this message from the windows.

"The request couldn't not be performed because of an I/O devce error"

data inside the hdd is doesnt really matter. I just want the hdd can be used again
