KUALA LUMPUR: Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today expressed concern over the rise in the number of Covid-19 fatalities in the country this year.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 deaths reported to the ministry within the first nine days of the year has reached 71, which is a significant jump compared to less than 100 fatalities recorded during the first nine months of 2020.

"I fear the worst is yet to come," said Dr Noor Hisham in a reply in the comment section of his Facebook account.

In a Facebook post, Dr Noor Hisham also shared the challenges faced by health frontliners in managing the burial rites for those who died from Covid-19.

"Under the hot sun, they (health and medical staff) would be drenched in sweat since they are required to don complete personal protective equipment (PPE) until the remains of Covid-19 patients are laid to rest and the burial rites concluded.

"I hope all of us understand the odds and challenges faced by all frontliners. Let us all help (to control the spread of Covid-19 in) the country by continuing to embrace the 'Kita Jaga Kita', 'Kita Jaga Keluarga' spirits.

"May all of us be protected from the fury of Covid-19," he said.

Why harga barang naik overnight?

I went grocery kan and I got shocked when harga barang yg I biasa beli tetiba naik like elevator express to 14th floor.
Apasal? My favourite Dutch Lady milk before only RM14+ for 3 packs, now suddenly RM17! My ketchup was RM3.50 now went up to RM4.80.
Ni, I tak banding masa harga offer tau, masa harga biasa je pun.
Gila ke ape?????

So far, I have checked that Agoda does give some kind of discounts. What about banking sites / ewallets or any apps?

A bro I know is spending too much time going out with this girl who already have a bf. I tried telling him it's not right to go out alone, one on one with this girl, fulling knowing she's not available. He has a thick skull, nothing I said knocked sense into him. He said he likes the girl as a good friend but who is he kidding? One day, this girl is going to cause him a lot of hurt and I hate to see that happening to my good bro. I tried introducing available girls for him, even set him up on dates. He's a decent guy, but he's almost 35 and still pinning for this other girl. He lied that she is only a good friend but we all know how he really feels.

So, bro to bro, what else can I do for him? Should I go talk to the girl to leave him alone? And girls out there as well, if you already have a bf, don't tease other guys. It's sick and not right. Got it?!
