Windows 8.1 failed to open the software.

Just bought Asus A550L laptop and it comes with Windows 8.1.

Everything is working fine except for one particular software which I used on a regular basis on windows XP.

I've tried the compatibility method (change the mode to XP service pack 3) and it worked. But the next day, it failed to open.

The next method I tried was to open it on the App page and it worked.and again, the next day it failed.

The last method I tried was to adjust the UAC settings to the lowest and it worked.and again the next day it failed.

Any idea what is actually going on and how to solve this issue?

Hi LYN peeps,

I'm from KL and will be posted to work in Penang soon.The address is,Jalan Green Hall 10200 George Town, Penang.My working hours are from 8pm-5am.

My questions are:

1)Where to live around there?somewhere really cheap if possible(room to rent)

2)Should I take the ferry from Butterworth and take a shuttle bus?

If possible,suggestions must be quite cheap route or method as the salary paid is low.

Been searching about RIIAM(Research Institute of Investment Analysts Malaysia) regarding the courses they offer.Is this institute still functioning or shutdown?
Tried calling their office in Sri Petaling but the line was out of service.

what i meant by packed food is,those bihun,mee goreng and sandwiches in containers where u can usually spot in 7 elevens.

my question is,
besides selling it to these outlets(cash and carry,7elevens,quick and easy mart),is there any other options or recommendations?

please bear in mind that,the food(product) and distribution can only be done in the morning seeing the cook has a full time job

hi LYN peeps,
i would like to obtain rights to display published books and novels in electronic format,and i've found out who's the original copyright holder is.
what i heard is,there's a royalty that comes along with the rights.

so my question is,

1)how do i go about writing a letter obtaining these rights?is there any guidelines available on the net or anywhere else?

2)how much royalty usually they'll ask for?
