ASUS M2N-X Mobo

Hi All Expert brother's,

I recently bought a used AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ Windsor processor to replace my AMD Athlon 64x2 4000+ Brisbane. A problem occurred, when I installed the AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ to the ASUS M2N-X mobo, the PC hang in the log in Windows Logo area. Sometimes, I able to log in to the desktop screen but just few second to a minute, the screen turn blue and ask for restart/auto shutdown.

Does this mobo not supported AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ Windsor? But the ASUS website CPU support is in the list (please refer to http://my.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=gg77EtrKL4nFw1DU. I did tried this processor in my office PC with ASUS M2N-VM DVI Mobo and its work without any problem.

I already tried few way after installed the AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+:-

1) Update latest BIOS (still turn blue or hang)
2) put default setting after update BIOS (still same)
3) boot from CD to format PC (still same, turn blue after loading Windows file)

Any advise? Deeply appreciate your help.

I would like to buy a used AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ Windsor processor. But the buyer sent the CPUZ to me that the Core speed & multiplier is clock at 1000.2 MHz x 5.0 Multiplier (pls see the attachment). Would like to seek for assistance:-

1. Isn't setting problem?
2. How to configure it?
3. Should I buy this used processor?

I'm currently using AMD Athlon 64x2 4000+ with mobo Asus M2N-VM DVI http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=fyD1uSu233yBDeCq. I saw some review from the webstite, some show support AM2+, some not. I wonder which 1 is correct, because would like to go for upgrade. Does this mobo can support the new AMD processor such as:-

ATHLON II X2 24
ATHLON II X3 44
ATHLON II X4 63

or

PHENOM II X2 555
PHENOM II X4 925

Hi LYN Forumers,

Previously, I was using Gigabyte HD4350 graphic card. The temperature is at 45'C to 47'C. Now, I just changed my graphic card to POV Geforce 9600GT 512MB DDR3, the heat of this 9600GT goes up to 60'C to 63'C.

My questions is:

a- the heat consider normal? (I google the graphic card review, the heat is around that too)
b- if too hot, what fan should i add on to reduce the heat. (I went to Lowyat today, there is too much fan, any recommendation?

nVIDIA nforce3 CPU Temperature high

Hi LYN Members,

I just upgraded the processor from AMD Athlon 64 3000+ to AMD Athlon 64 x 2 4000+. Then I download the HWmonitor software to check the temperature. I found the processor temperature is normal but I doubt the heat from NVIDIA nForce3 temperature(pls see the picture with RED circle.

The heat of NVIDIA nForce at 85'C, does it over heat? Please advice.

Rear windscreen hit by a tiny stone

Hi all LYN members,

Need some info from you guys. 2 hour ago(around 730pm) i was walking to car park to get my car, then i found my rear windscreen got 1 whole, size around 50cent. Then i saw a stone(size smaller than 50cent) inside my car, i suspect is some foolish use something to shot it coz the screen like bullet whole. After that i have no choice then force to start my car and drive to my friend house, when i closed my door, the 2/5 for the screen fall down.

I did have insurance for windscreen, but my question is whether the insurance cover rear side windscreen? Your advice is much appreciate, thank you.
