[MASM Assembly Q] How to retrive register value

Hi, currently stuck at one part and cant continue my assignment, i had search a lof of website, but seem like cant find any solution for me, therefore would like to ask for some help at here.

well currently my program is needed to get input from user, user key in on the screen then the program will need to store it at certain location/register, then the program will based on the input do sum operation, store it temporary, and then show the result on screen to let user know.

Make it simple, some similar example:

here is the output of the program:

Please enter the value1: 12
Please enter the value2: 24
Please enter the value3: 10
The total is 46.

My problem is,

1. Which interrupt should i used to retrieve the input from user, and show it on screen ? and when user press enter then onli the interrupt feed the value into register, which mean if user key in 12, then he feel dun want key in 12, he can backspace and delete the 12 and change it to 32 if he havnt press enter yet, and there is a limitation that the user cant enter more then 2 decimal.

I had tried to use int21h, 02h, but seem like it is not suitable for this kind of implementation. anyone got other suggestion ? just give me sum hint on it.

2.let said if the interrupr capture the input from user, then how it going to be store? since now there will be two character to be feed in, normally how ppls going to store it ? well for my case, previously the assignment that i done, i use inth16h , 10h to receive the input from user, then based on it jump to the corresponding page, it like cmp the ASCII code of char, then jmp to that place. we ll, now if i want to receive the input from user, how should i implement in order to get two decimal value, and store it in a register / memory location ?

3.Since there is limited register to be used in assembly, may i know normally a professional programmer will how to solve this problem? how to use the memory map to store value ?

4.how to implement array in assembly ? cos my program will needed user to key in a series of data in order for the program to compute, i got think before that since the register are limited, possible to use array to store it then retrieve it, but i dunno how to implement,anyone can give me sum direction ?

5.Any txtbook that suitable to study for a beginner like me ? previously only learn VB/C, not mush knowledge on assembly, think to get a suitable book for me to study/refer
