Just watched Hail Mary in TGV today. For me one of the best science fiction movie.
Nice trivia - the Project Hail Mary badge in Ryan Gosling space suits and tshirts contains Malaysia flag and this shows that our best mind is one of the countries that got involved in the project to save the world

Tesla owner depression

- desperate for free electricity for charging.. everytime travel down to Gamuda Cove and spend time waitng
- complained that now in depression mode because short cut link closed and have to pay rm4.30 to go there

Confession time - i also own a Tesla Model 3 and the way these babies crying everytime people hogging the free chargers and the amount of time they waste to travel to these chargers and waiting there make me depressed and I duly left the owner whatsapp group

In the past, it was a quota system, and he wanted meritocracy. When it became meritocracy, Bumiputera numbers increased even more because they were strong.

Now he’s bringing up the STPM vs. Matriculation issue, claiming that Matric is another quota. He tries to exaggerate by giving an example of someone ranked 1129 in STPM who didn’t even take Math but wanna take account

He says Matric students are “dumb,” even though those entering Matric are among the selected top SPM students. To him, STPM is a higher caste and more powerful.

Now he wants to abolish Matric and make everyone take STPM.

Fast forward, even in STPM Bumiputera will dominate because of population numbers while the nons birth rate lower—just look at SPM results as the closest example where even with single exam the bumi dominate in high score

For me this is the most nearest post End Game that feel Marvel all over again. Give it 8/10

Imagine my surprise when I got this notification as I never take any loan with TnG personal loan.. end up this is just an advertisement by CTOS to entice you buy their credit report when you click on it

Scummy advertisement .. no wonder lot of banks already ditched CTOS .. they never bothered to update their credit report until the user complained and have issue with loan submission .. credit report straight from CRIF, CBM and Experian is better

Fresh graduate should be banned for buying new car

To reduce road traffic from all the new cars especially cheap cars like Axia and Myvi or Bezza

Only allow them to buy cars once they have a kid and raising a family

They should not have excuse to not using public transportation or live nearby their work place .. like what Japanese do with company dorms in the city centres

Gov can also add revenue by making road tax more expensive for the young people and the premium will be lowered once they raise a family

Of course they can always drive their parents cars but discouraging them from buying cars will reduce the daily increase crazy traffic jam nowadays

He should concentrate in improving the economy by establishing his cabinet minister fast and provide us his policies

In first few days we already knw the previous PM direction and economic mantra

- Najib - the economy need transformation with inputs from private sectors gurus (few months down the line ETP is born)

- Pak Lah - creating economic corridor all over country (a year on Iskandar and East Coast born)

- Tun M 2nd time - high value industries like drone, air taxi and electric car (not enough time to execute)

- Mooyidin - rakyat kebajikan which means subsidy and grants

- Sabri - keluarga malaysia is just continuation of Mooyidin concept

Only work in big MNC companies in my whole life (french, germans, netherland, us) and never being asked for MC if i reported in sick for the past 20 years

The logic that my angmoh HR gave me - sick days already allocated in your annual entitlement and costing

They also dont want you the hassle of crawling to clinics if you sick and only need rest and panadol

Wonder if there any local companies also have this practise?

I notice this after observing my circles and talking with my property agent friend.

Some people that comes from outside KV like Perlis, Johor, Melaka, Perak etc will die die do:

- they really care about their work location. KL city? Yes! Need to work in Banting? Hell no

- Die die need to buy V or W plates for their cars. Even if there is specialised plate from their original home state they still want KL plates even if running numbers

- Really care much about postcodes to buy their house. Telok Panglima Garang or Jenjarom postcode? Ewww (even though it is a expensive highly regarded housing area)

- always complain about Cyberjaya sibeh far, Puchong not human live .. even KL original ppl dont care much where to go lol

- Die die try to find mobile phone with old KL prefix (e.g starting from 3) they stupidly thought that mobile operators still define numbers using states zones like in the past lol

Just in time before my birthday next week. And i also just got my promotion news confirmed from my Germany boss

My fourth BMW but first brand new (my previous 1 series is pre regs)

Booked blue but the SA said if take sunset orange can register fast as the m340i model is selling fast

Bought it from Melaka dealer as they give better discount and the car arrived

The color is so damn gorgeous - now i can understand why the previous /k kept talking about it non stop lol

Japanese car companies - X50 pricing is illogical

When the Proton X50 was announced with prices ranging from RM 79,200 to RM 103,300, it got their more established Japanese rivals scratching their heads on how can the car be so cheap, even when judged by the standards of a national car.

To give you some context, a tax-free Honda HR-V sells in Langkawi from RM 90,700 to RM 103,900 (for Peninsular Malaysia, it is RM 104,000 to RM 118,581). We don’t need to remind you the huge difference in specifications and features between a Honda HR-V and a Proton X50.

How Proton is able to keep its prices so low is a closely-guarded secret and it’s easier for us to dig out ‘secrets’ like future models planned, than details of a model’s cost structure.

For any manufacturer, the bill of materials and profit contribution of each model are more sensitive information than their future product plans and even amongst employees

What we do know however, is that the new Geely management that’s leading Proton now have a reputation for bringing cost cutting and efficiency improvement to a level that’s not seen, or done before by any manufacturer here.

Yes, we all know how competitive Chinese manufacturers can be but the tales trickling out of the grapevine from Proton will raise eyebrows of Japanese and Korean manufacturers in Malaysia

Never mind a tax-free Honda HR-V. Even the Japanese from Daihatsu who are stationed at their Malaysian outpost in Perodua, say that Proton’s cost reduction targets are unrealistic and unsustainable, and the combative stance is counterproductive in maintaining positive working relationships with parts suppliers.

We know that Perodua has bought and taken apart a Geely Boyue (Proton X70) for their own study to understand better on how the Chinese at Geely build their cars. Daihatsu is Japan’s zen master in building low cost cars, so they know what they are talking, but well so did BMW in the late ‘80s when they refused to acknowledge Lexus’ competency.

Whether the relentless pursuit of ever lower cost by Geely/Proton is sustainable or not is something that we will only know 10 years later.

To the three ppl below:

- Jamal Yunos - when he go around with the towel gimmick we laughed and say he is stupid and just want to ‘tarnish’ Pakatan
Now Im hoping he coming out and protest for us again

- Bijan - when bapa korupsi said “masalah air selagor lagi kritikal” i laughed at him trying to divert issue. Now i realise i cannot pump away and wash my shit with 1mdb issue

- Khalid (ex Selangor MB) - I laughed at him when he said Selangor should sell the water assets to federal cheaply so that more federal funding can be used to upgrade the water system
For me that time he is Pakatan traitor and I think we should follow Pakatan wish to get rm2.5 billion from the federal

Now he is proven right - even LGE is smart enough to sold water management rights to federal gov and now Penang water supply is way better

How can this happen in Malaysia

So I heard from my brother that most local companies still offering fresh degree graduate rm2000 to rm2500

That is surprising as it the same amount back in 2005 when i start working.

That is 15 years ago and food and housing prices almost doubled now

Back then you can still buy decently sized terrace house in KV for 400k. With same money can buy big semi-d or bungalow in outskirts.

Now with that same money you can only get a decent aprtment.

Middle income and upper income consumers numbers is bigger and our markets is bigger now.
Profits and growth made by these local companies is way bigger than 15 years ago. Being public listed is now ‘normal’
Back then these companies top mgmt drove a Proton Perdana, nowadays Alphard or BMW seems easy for them.

How can this happen? Companies getting greedy? Goverment fault?

And still blaming the fresh graduates for being “greedy”?
