Looking for vocal class in Puchong/Bandar Sunway

Hi, anyone can recommend where I can go for a good vocal class in Puchong or Bandar Sunway area? I googled and found a few but I don't know which is good. Anyone have any experience in taking up vocal classes and can recommend to me?

I'm looking to improve my singing voice, learn singing skills, know and differentiate certain things such as contralto, mezzo and soprano voices, reach higher and low notes and use them well, etc...

Please help, really serious about this thank you!! btw i'm a girl with a high pitched voice.

The laptop recommendations thread v25 closed so i have to ask here i'm sorry!!

i really need a laptop partly since i'm going into college some time this year
and my laptop just broke down

does anyone have any recommendations for me?
i'm looking for something like this:

-good RAM and can support some games that take up a lot of memory like sims 3
-good graphics/graphic card
-has a disk drive
-dont like lag
-affordable

1.Preferred Brand: i don't mind
2. Budget: something affordable? lower than rm2k, maybe rm1k+ if that's not too little for a laptop...
3. Usage: for games like sims 3 and runescape and fast internet browsing
4. Preferred laptop screen size: dont mind as long as it isnt tiny lol

Laptop can't turn on

This morning i was using my laptop and then i was faced with a sudden white screen i can't click on anything or even escape or power off my netbook so i just turned off the plug. Now it won't turn on. Like i'd turn on the plug again and press the power button to on it, and the button glows to show that it's on but all i get is an empty black screen.

Please, does anyone know what's wrong with my netbook and what i can do to fix it? i really need it, especially since i'll be in college sometime this year.

oh and my netbook is an acer netbook with Windows 7.

1.what's a Multimedia course about? Like how is it like and what can you be? How are the job prospects these days?

2. And does an "IT and Multimedia" course differ from an "IT" course? Which is better?

I got called for the Peneraju Tunas Potensi Interview this friday. I've never been to a scholarship interview before, let alone an interview, (other than part-time job interviews but those weren't frequent and definitely weren't formal)

so could someone tell me what's the dress code? do i wear baju kurung?

and what should i do to prepare for the interview? does anyone have any tips?

About Foundation?

Hi guys, i have never thought about taking foundation. But right now i'm considering it.

1. I think foundation covers a lot of things such as the foundation in Arts at Sunway, as the subjects range from ICT to tourism to business among others (http://sunway.edu.my/college/fia/programme-outline)

So i think if i take it, i'll be able to get a glimpse of some courses (Tourism Management, Information Technology etc) and find out what i might like. I'll also have more time to decide, and i can pursue a degree in that specific subject later.

Is this true? Are these the benefits of taking up foundation?

2. As far as i know, there's two types of foundation: Arts and Science. Which one is better?

3. What are the other benefits of taking up foundation?

4. What uni is the best for foundation? (If there's any)

When the UPU results come out, are we allowed to appeal/mohon if we

1. don't get the course we want
or
2. change our minds?

Basically, they're saying that if you take a course in something else you can work in other fields etc IT, but you can also become a teacher.

If take a course in teaching, you can become a teacher but you wont be able to work in other fields for private sectors.

Is this true?

If so, if i'm interested in other stuff too and get a diploma in IT for instance, i can still become a teacher if i want to? (If so, how?)

Then maybe i should take a diploma in something general such as IT and then later when i graduate i can work in that field anywhere. Then one day if i decide i want to teach, i could too.

Like my sister who is taking urban planning also says that she might become a teacher instead.

PISMP UKCG

However, I don't know what I should do as preparation for the test. Does anyone have any suggestions? Like maybe I should look at some INSAK questions (i don't even know what that is lol )?

Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan

hey guys!! so i applied for PISMP (Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan). The results came out a few days ago, and i'm going to have to take a test. However, the subject that i chose for teaching is Bahasa Inggeris, but i'm also really interested in Pendidikan Seni Visual. Is it possible to change subjects?

because i heard that after the test, there's going to be an interview, and for subjects like Pendidikan Seni, it'll be good to bring your past artworks.

Also, my relatives asked me whether we have to pay to enter IPG or if the costs are covered by getting into the PISMP programme. If so, what costs are covered? I'm just concerned about this since my family cannot afford to pay for my higher education on our own, and we were relying/hoping for a scholarship all this time. If PISMP is like that, then it's practically a scholarship for teaching...right?

So i'm reupdating my UPU application since a few months ago i just filled it in for the sake of filling it in. You know, so that just in case if i forget, at least i've SOMETHING filled in.

But now i'm doing it properly, and my first choice is teaching English. (mostly i want to teach at a primary school level )

i have a few questions though
1. I've checked the list and found these 4 IPTAs with their respective courses:

-UPSI-Diploma Bahasa Inggeris
(could i be an english teacher with this? beacause my teacher said that taking up a course in the subject or
education doesn't mean that u'll become a teacher.)

-UNISZA-Diploma Pengajaran Bahasa Inggeris Sebagai Bahasa Kedua (TESL)

-UITM-Asasi TESL
(is foundation/asasi good for teaching..? or should i just not put this down?)

-UIAM-Diploma Pendidikan Awal Kanak-kanak
(heard that Early Childhood Education is only for teaching in kindergartens/pre-schools...is that true? if that's so,
then i shouldn't take this.)

2. Forgetting about the ones that i can't take/won't allow me to become a primary school English teacher, which IPTA and their course above is the best for becoming a primary school English teacher?

UPU application question?

Hey guys, i'm filling in the UPU application online but there's something that i'm confused about.

in the Pilihan Program section, there's three slots for bidang.
since i want to take up teaching, tourism or IT, i did it like:

BIDANG 1:PENDIDIKAN
BIDANG 2: ?? SASTERA
BIDANG 3: TEKNOLOGI

(shown in picture)

so my question is, what do they mean by bidang sastera? does that include stuff like hospitality and tourism or?
if it's wrong, what should actually be chosen for the second bidang?

Ways to become a teacher

So I've collected the ways to be a teacher here. (This is what i know from asking around, so there might also be other ways)

Primary teacher
-PISMP at IPG (note: for SPM leavers)
-UPU-apply for tesl at IPTAs

Secondary teacher
-UPU-apply for UPSI (Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris)

If anyone is interested, please recheck ok!!
Please correct me if i'm wrong/left anything out.

Question about Scholarships?

Got my SPM results, and i got 8As. I need some guidance..

Atm, like other people, I am thinking of my next step, and i want to continue with tertiary education. However, I come from a family with financial instability, so I've been searching and applying for scholarships.

I made a list of scholarships available for SPM leavers, but when i told my friend she told me that at the moment there aren't much scholarships left for SPM leavers..

I guess i'm confused as websites listing scholarships tend to mix Pre-U/STPM-leavers' and SPM-leavers' scholarships together. I've crossed a lot out too.

Are there any scholarships that I'm qualified for with my results?

Hey!! I've keep hearing about matriculation these days. I'm an SPM leaver btw.
I've some questions about it, but idk who to ask..

1. What is matriculation? Can someone tell me more about it?

2. But i remember someone telling me not to take it. Why is that so? Is there a reason?
Some of my friends asked me if i've applied for it..But i haven't.

3. And are there any rules like for instance, if you apply for matriculation you can't even apply for STPM and such?

Questions about STPM

hi i'm an SPM leaver and im considering taking STPM.

PROS
1) since i cant afford to pay for my tertiary education, im hoping for scholarships for diploma and hopefully degree.
2) there are more scholarships for STPM leavers.if i take STPM, i can straightway take degree after (by applying for those scholarships)
3) it saves time, since i heard that STPM takes only half a year. (actually i dont really care how long or short a course takes given that it's not too long or short.)
4) i havent really made up my mind yet, so taking either a-levels or STPM should give me more time and also more chances (scholarships)

a-levels: dowan go overseas. plus i cant pay for a levels and will have to depend on a scholarship, which i know from my sister's experience that sure, you get sponsored for a levels but you must pursue a degree that is already chosen and sponsored for you. so basically, still have to make decision.

5) stpm: like the a-levels for local (and overseas). probably more affordable...and gives more time and chances.

however, i have some questions:-
1)i heard that STPM is VERY hard. is it true?
2) science and maths is in bm? (not used to having science in bm )
3)someone on Lowyat told me last year that "Please, if any of you cannot study continuously and work very very hard, please
please dont take STPM." or something like that.
4) Also heard that STPM has too wide a syllabus for only six months?
5)why do some people would not choose STPM?
like for instance, last year a teacher came into class and said "ambil STPM. Bagus tau?" and everyone just stared at her while she insisted and said that she took it.
6)for the people who took SRPM, what was your experience?

can someone tell me more about STPM? i think it's misunderstood by a lot of people.

hi on the moe website and the PISMP website, they said that today is the day we can check whether we're chosen for the Ujian Kelayakan Calon Guru (UKCG) or not.
Apparently we're supposed to fill in our ICs and nombor rujukan here http://apps8.moe.gov.my/smg/pismp2015/index.cfm
but i went there and i can't type in the box and login?
Is anyone else having similar problems?
