G&G Single Storey Near MRT/LRT

Hi,

Anyone can think of such property? Looking for security, convenience (no upstairs and not too big), walking distance to MRT/LRT, and with option to keep pets and do some gardening. Not necessary to be full blown G&G.

Look forward to your feedback.
Passing property to children

Hi. I wish to get some feedback on best and least costly method to pass property to children. Say I have a house worth 1M:

1. Will it be better to pass onto them, i.e., transfer ownership, while I am still alive? I suppose this will incur the normal S&P charges, lawyers fees and MOT, etc. which may be around 20k - 25 k for a 1M property

2. If I leave in my Will, would the transfer cost be any different? Except in this case, my children will have to bear the costs, as I will be gone.

3. In case 1, could transfer at below market price or just give as gift so S&P cost is minimized, as charges are based on percentage of purchase price?

Feedback appreciated.

Exporting Local Fruits

Hi,

I have been asked by some friends overseas (in colder climates) the possibility of exporting our tropical fruits to their country, and then they sell it over there. This would be like mango, watermelon, rambutan, longan, etc. They may start small by supplying to local grocery stores, and expand further if it is feasible - supply to supermarket or open own fruits stalls/store.

I started think about this, and realized this will involve looking into many things - local fruit suppliers, licenses, health clearance/certificates, customs import/export, taxes, packaging, transport, etc.

Is anyone here familiar with the process involved, or doing similar trading business, and can provide some guidance and advice? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
