"Mercedes Islam"...

Mercedes Islam

Full article:

QUOTE

COMMENT | If Wacky-Paedia were to produce a geographical guide to denote the various subsets of Islam throughout the world, it would look like this: The Saudi Arabians have their Wahabi Islam, Afghanistan has its Taliban, Syria has Isis, Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood and Turkey has the Dervishes. Not wishing to be outdone, Kelantan's leaders have "Mercedes-Islam". "Mercedes-Islam", as practised by Kelatanese leaders, is one in which power is glorified and the state's finances are used to benefit the leaders. In simple terms, the "people come last". If disgraced Najib Abdul Razak can pull off the 1MDB saga and escape censure for years before being caught, Kelantan's leaders probably imagine they can do the same. Where is the outrage of the Kelantanese public? Are people fearful of criticising their leaders, especially those who don white robes, wear white skullcaps and litter their speeches with Arabic phrases? Perhaps there are no protests because of the deference of Asians? Bizarrely, some people think, "biar papa, asalkan bergaya" (it's ok to spend and waste one's money, as long as one can look stylish). The rakyat remain poor, unlike the leaders. Last week's revelation by Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, about the fleet of new Mercedes-Benz cars, caused a socio-political earthquake with shockwaves reverberating from the Kelantan MB's office to Putrajaya. What he said was not new, because 14 months ago Mohd Amar tried to silence his critics, in particular the Kelantan Pakatan Harapan chief Husam Musa, with a similar statement. Husam had admonished the PAS government for spending beyond their means; buying a new Mercedes-Benz car for the state secretary. In September 2018, Mohd Amar said, "It's all about saving the state money. It is a necessity, not a luxury. It's only one car. We're not changing the entire fleet of cars." Kelantan is the poorest state in West Malaysia. Fast forward to January 2020, we see Mohd Amar has broken his pledge because the state has purchased new Mercedes-Benz cars for the MB, his deputy, the state secretary and members of the state executive committee. Fourteen cars in all.

The state secretary probably boasted about the smooth ride and other features of his new car, so members of the state executive committee became envious and demanded their Protons be scrapped and that they too should have Mercedes-Benz cars. One Mercedes-Benz in 2018 morphed into 14 in 2020. Mohd Amar's critics continued their assault on the state's purchase of an entire fleet of Mercedes-Benz, so he said, "They're safer." We remained unconvinced, so he tried to pull more wool over our eyes and said, "They'll be cheaper to maintain." What? Is a Mercedes cheaper to maintain than a Proton? Four brake pads for the MB's V-6 S450 L AMG, with its top speed of 155mph probably costs as much as a secondhand Proton. I haven't mentioned the cost of the tyres, yet! The annual service by a Mercedes garage will cost an arm and a leg. Or is the local Mat Rempit going to service Kelantan's official Mercedes cars, in a "shade-tree" garage? Who is Mohd Amar (below) trying to kid?

After a week, searching for another suitable retort he said, "Security. The reason we need Mercedes-Benz cars is because of security issues." What security issues? Does the Kelantan MB need protection from terrorist groups? Or the DAP? Or remnant geriatric communists from their late leader Chin Peng's band of guerrilla fighters? Or capitalist Americans? Or the Israelis? Or Christian evangelists? Who? Perhaps, he feels threatened by Muslim women who would like to lobby him to ban child marriages in Kelantan. He needs a fast car, for his getaway. Is the MB's Mercedes armour-plated like US President Donald Trump's Beast? Will the Kelantan MB spend more of the state's petroleum revenue on equipping his three-litre, V-6 S450 L AMG with missiles to ward off attacks? Are the windows bulletproof? Are the tyres specially reinforced so that they can still drive if punctured? A car with its multiple safety features is no good without a capable driver. Are they part of his security team? "Mercedes-Islam" has led to a two-tiered state. Cinemas are banned, the mingling of the sexes is frowned upon, women have to cover up to maintain their purity, but the men can nip across the border to sample the fleshpots of southern Thailand. Perhaps the Kelantan MB needs a fast car to cut the journey time to Thailand.

Kelantan is a land of contrasts. The heart and minds of the people must be kept clean and free of impure thoughts, but if one looks around Kota Baru, one will see that the streets, drains and beaches are filthy. The Kelantanese people live in poverty, while its leaders live in the lap of luxury. "Mercedes-Islam" has not brought benefits to the people of Kelantan because the "people come last". Kelantan people deserve better. They are told to "buy Muslim products first", but their leaders enjoy the best in Christian engineering technology. The Kelantanese are being taken for a ride. Only they have the power to change their leaders. One Kelantanese said, "Perhaps the leaders will get faster to heaven in their Mercedes-Benz."

MARIAM MOKHTAR is a defender of the truth, the admiral-general of the Green Bean Army and president of the Perak Liberation Organisation (PLO).

"Kerajaan Kelantan mengakui pembangunan negeri itu agak terkebelakang berbanding negeri lain dan ia sesuatu yang disengajakan.

Timbalan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah berkata, kerajaan negeri mempunyai pendekatan tersendiri dalam menggerakkan pembangunan berbeza daripada negeri lain.

Memang kita akui pembangunan fizikal negeri kita lambat. Kita sengaja melambatkan supaya kita nak pastikan pembangunan ini dapat dinikmati rakyat."

Source: Malaysiakini

(Guys at office one floor below) when I walk up the staircase this morning."

Then she literally lifted up her miniskirt and flashed her purple panties to me and my boss. Boss just laughed.

After lunch again she do something weird.

She ordered pizza hut, then after eating ask me for wet tissue.

I pass my tissue box to her, then she said, "Thanks sayang, can you wipe my pussy?"

I think its inappropriate behaviour for the office.

What's the difference between cult and religion?

Although cults are religious groups typically, they have a lot of differences which are quite big.

Leadership: Whereas a religion may have a religious head and a hierarchical structure to it's system, a cult typically only has 1 or 2 leaders who make all the rules and who have absolute control.

Communities: Cult members often live in groups or communes which brings them further into the cult.

Isolation: Many of these communes are isolated from the rest of society and members may be forced into cutting off communication with the outside world.

Coercion: Many inductees are mistreated and abused in order to establish a form of psychological control over their lives.

Recitation: Cult members aren't told how to interpret their religion, they're told the phrases and motos to reinforce it.

Objective: Cult members are constantly told that if they remain loyal and do things for the cult that they will be elevated to the select few who can be enlightened/transcend/attain inner peace. However the goal posts are constantly moved back to keep the higher ups in absolute control.

Limited Information: Whereas anyone can pick up a bible and more or less understand most of Christianity, cults only reveal small tidbits of their beliefs at every new level that a member reaches.

Alienation: Cult members are constantly engrained with an "us versus them" mentality.

Seclusion: Most cults are self sufficient so that members don't ever have to leave, and most of the time they're not allowed to anyways.

Expensive: Yes church can be expensive, but cults routinely ask for it's members to dedicate their whole live to the cause and to pay their "dues"

Secretive: Cults never openly advertise about themselves, their beliefs, their leadership, or how they spend the money they receive from members.

40 years jail, 15 rotan for a moment's pleasure

PUTRAJAYA: Former Sabah anti-vice police chief has been sentenced to 40 years' jail and 15 strokes of the whip for raping and sodomising a 13-year-old girl in 2012 in what was described as a "crime of temptation".

Deputy Superintendent Rohaizat Abd Ani, 58, lost his final appeal at the Court of Appeal on Friday (Mar 24) to set aside his rape and sodomy convictions meted out on him by the Kota Kinabalu Sessions Court in the Malaysian state of Sabah.

His jail term was, however, slashed by half from 80 years to 40 years after the court's three-man panel of judges ordered him to serve his jail sentences for three rape charges, concurrently instead of consecutively.

His counsel Geethan Ram Vincent said, taking into account the one-third remission of jail term for good behaviour, Rohaizat would be behind bars for 27 years until the age of 85.

Rohaizat, who wore a black jacket, appeared to be composed when the decision was delivered by the court. A court interpreter was seen relating the court's verdict to him. He was then taken to the lock-up in the court building after the verdict was handed down.

Justice Mohd Zawawi Salleh who presided with Justices Ahmadi Asnawi and Kamardin Hashim issued a warrant of committal against Rohaizat to commit him to prison since he was being released on bail pending disposal of his appeal on Friday.

Rohaizat was convicted by the Sessions Court of four counts of raping the girl and one count of sodomy which he allegedly committed at Tang Dynasty Hotel, Kota Kinabalu between Feb 1, 2012 and May 6, 2012. He lost his appeal at the High Court, prompting him to appeal to the Court of Appeal.

The Sessions Court had sentenced him to 20 years' jail each and three strokes of the cane each for the first and second charge of raping and sodomising the minor, the jail terms to run concurrently, and another 20 years each and three whippings each for the other three rape charges, to run consecutively.

APPEAL DISMISSED

Justice Mohd Zawawi dismissed Rohaizat's appeal on his convictions but allowed his appeal for a reduction of his jail term by requiring him to serve the 20 years' jail sentences for three rape charges concurrently instead of consecutively.

Rohaizat was ordered to begin his 20 years' jail term for the three rape charges after the completion of his jail term for the first two charges.

Justice Mohd Zawawi said there was sufficient evidence to support Rohaizat's convictions.

At one point in the proceeding, Justice Zawawi described the case as "crime of temptation" when deputy public prosecutor Hamdan Hamzah told the court that Rohaizat was formerly a law enforcement officer.

Hamdan argued that the victim was a credible witness and there was no reason for her to implicate Rohaizat, adding that she delayed in lodging the police report because she was afraid they would not believe her story.

Geethan Ram earlier submitted that the girl implicated Rohaizat because she was angry with her mother, whom Rohaizat was giving financial support. He said there were contradictions in the girl's evidence whom he described as a brilliant person who claimed that she was forced by her mother to have sexual intercourse to settle her mother's debts, but her mother gave a different version.

Rohaizat, in his defence at the Sessions Court, denied raping or sodomising the girl but admitted to having sex with two women, including the mother of the victim.

Bernama
