Hi,

I'm having performance issues with my laptop while playing any games recently when unplugged.
For every 4-5 seconds, FPS will drop from 60 - 70 fps all the way to unplayable 15 fps for about 5 seconds and will repeat continuously regardless game.

I understand it has something to do with power management, but not this bad. It should be 30 fps constant, not lag spikes.
I tried disable any power management and put both cpu and gpu on highest performance available on control panel and Nvidia Geforce control panel.

I was very smooth before until recently.

8GB DDR4
GTX 950M

What's happening? I tried google, but everyone is solved by disable power saver in management. But doesn't work on me.

Hi, I'm using Asus K501UX laptop specs as below

Intel Core i7 6500U
Nvidia Geforce GTX950M
8GB DDR4

I'm having a really annoying issues where my boot time is very slow and sluggish after log in. Disk is always busy for the first 5-10 minutes. It's so bad that it is almost unuseable.

Disk is always at 80-100% but when I check at task manager? theres nothing that hogs the HDD.

I already fresh install both Windows 10 and Windows 8.1
problem still there. I already disable superfetch on registry, still the system hogs the HDD.

HDD is not an issue, bought a new HDD just to solve this matter because at first I thought it was HDD problem. HDD health is at safe spot.

Can anyone please clarify whats happening? I fed up with this laptop.

Hi,

I'm a Asus K501UX (R516UX) laptop user and with Windows 10 original OS.

I'm having issue with always busy hard disk even on idle. Task manager always shows 85~100% HDD usage.
HDD light indicator is almost always lit up even on idle, without doing anything. I can hear disk noises because I work on relatively quiet place.

Everything works, but at times the laptop is very less responsive because disk is always busy.

I already google regarding this issues and disable windows search and other cache features on registry, but still HDD is busy at times.

How to fix?

Another problem is my laptop will shut down whenever I put it to sleep.
When I wake from sleep, it will show me blank screen for a minute or so and will restart the PC.
