Need Advice from Dog Owners Living in Condos

I will be moving into a condo in KL alone, and I'm considering to keep a small to medium sized dog with me. I really like Shiba Inus, and I read that they can be good condo pets provided that they get exercised thoroughly before getting left home alone. The area that I will be staying is Mont Kiara, which is generally more pet-friendly than many other neighbourhoods in KL. However, I also don't want to risk getting complained by neighbours which will result in getting rid of my dog

My question is, if I plan to do morning walks with my dog around my neighbourhood, can I walk my dog out of my unit openly (but on a leash) into public areas like lifts, corridors, etc? It doesn't make sense for me to bring them out in a crate if I'm just taking a walk nearby.

My alternatives will be to use the crate and drive my dog out to a dog friendly area nearby, or give up on Shiba Inus and get a condo-safe breed that's permitted by DBKL and doesn't require that much exercise. (I've had 1 pekingnese and 1 poodle in my hometown before, and a shih tzu that's currently being taken care of by my parents).

Need lots of advice here because, as much as I love dogs, I also want to make sure I'm not creating any nuisance to my neighbours or needing my dog to compromise.

How much can RM20k cover in renovation?

My current condo is a subsale unit, around 1250sf big. 3 rooms, 2 baths. 1 open kitchen, laundry room, living and kitchen.

Each bedroom already has bed frames (but outdated) and used mattresses (which I plan to recycle or give away), some basic furniture that don't match (e.g. natural wood zen style bedframe & side tables but with dark oak TV cabinet). Come to think of it, is it possible to make some money by reselling these used furniture to second hand shops?

I am totally a newbie in renovation, and I just moved to KL a few years ago so I don't really have good contacts here.

I don't intend to have a complete makeover, but just a basic new coat of painting for the whole unit, vinyl flooring in the living room, and adding/replacing some lights here and there.

So my question is:

Is RM20k a realistic rough budget to quote contractors for the items above? Does it still have room for more things to be done?
PS: This is not inclusive of furniture.

Appreciate your advice!

Tomorrow is the day I tender my resignation!

I've been contemplating for the past whole year to quit my job, and after countless failed attempts, I finally had the courage to text my boss an hour ago to meet up tomorrow evening for a chat.

The reason I find it extraordinarily difficult to tell my boss, is because he wasn't really a bad boss to me. In fact he was really nice and supportive to me. I just feel that the company and the industry in general are no longer a good fit for me. I work in advertising, and over the years it's really easy to feel sick and disgusted of "too much unnecessary selling" lol.

I kind of expect them to talk me out of quitting; seven months ago I discussed the idea of leaving with a senior colleague and she took me on a guilt trip and so I felt bad to leave. But now I'm really determined, as I feel that I don't owe them anything. Plus, I can't wait to progress to my next career move, which I know will reward me so much more because it's what I'm passionate about.

But why am I feeling so nervous and guilty at this moment??? (This is my first official resignation btw).

Please give me some support

Favser Service

If you're familiar with Fiverr, then Favser should be the Southeast Asia version of it.
Basically it lets you post jobs like designing projects, translation jobs etc, and freelancers can accept jobs and receive payment once job is done.

As a freelance writer I'm actually quite tempted to try, in fact I've just registered an account.

Just checking here if anyone has any bad experiences using the new service... you know... just in case of scams or what not

TQVM!

New MacBook Air 13inch yellow tint on display

I just got the latest MBA (13inch) over the weekend and the guys at Mac Studio helped me activate my unit and I didn't realise anything wrong at that time. Only when I got home I then found out that the display screen on my MBA looks very yellowish (looks a bit like when your iphone is on Night Shift mode). I tried calibrating the colours but it either stays very yellowish or gets too cool and dull (bluish). I don't expect it to look as pretty as my old MBP but the yellow is really bugging me - especially when I look from my ipad/iphone to my MBA screen.

I read a few international forums that suggest that macbooks with a yellow tint on the display could be defects. Did anyone face the same issue and know how to remedy this? Will I be able to replace my unit if unfixable? It sucks to know I paid so much to get something I won't enjoy

CALLING ALL AD MEN (& WOMEN)

Hello all,

I'm an advertising student in US, just graduated and currently interning at an agency in the US as well. As a fresh grad, if anyone wants to hire me after my internship in the US I'd be grateful like shit hiek hiek hiek.. But back to reality, the chances of it happening would be close to zero.

It's not that I don't want to come back to work in Malaysia. I just feel that my knowledge of the local advertising industry is as little as my chances of getting hired in US. I shamefully admit that I know more about advertising in the US, because I studied there, and also more importantly, the whole ad thing in Malaysia is basically unGOOGLEable!!!

So fellow account and creative people, if you would kindly help a newbie out and share some of your experiences or opinions working in the advertising industry in Malaysia (or Singapore), I will be eternally grateful. In addition, I'm interested in planning, which I understand is a senior level position, and I would be interested to know similar career paths and just the industry in general.

PS: Here's a to express my deepest gratitude. (No bow hence clap)
