Celcom Broadband Mobile Internet

Hi all,

I am about to subscribe to Celcom 1+5 Plan where the monthly commitment is RM15. On top of that, I'm also planning to subscribe to Celcom Broadband mLite at RM28 per month.

My question is, will this RM28 subscription be included as part of the monthly commitment 'usage' or is it part of a stand-alone billing? In other words, assuming I don't make calls/SMS/use Pay-Per-Use data at all in a month and I only subscribe to the RM28 mLite, will I need to pay RM15 + RM28 = RM43 or RM28 only?

I have read several contradicting comments from some users. Some say their broadband packages are not counted towards the monthly commitment and some others say their broadband usage is counted, so I was hoping to get a clarification from someone who has made subscription such as this or something similar before with Celcom. Thanks in advance.

Pictionary

Hey all.

First of all, i apologize if i posted this in the wrong section or if there's any other section that is more appropriate for me to post this. Ive looked at the other sub forums n i couldnt find any specific relevant sub forum for this one. So, i apologize if there is n if ive missed it.

Im sure some of you have heard of this game before (Pictionary). It's a type of board game by Mattel. Im having problems in identifying the places at which this game is being sold though. My first question would be, does anybody know a place of where i can buy this in Malaysia, preferably within Kuala Lumpur or Selangor? I heard Pictionary Mania is sold in Parkson, is it true?

There are few versions of this game too, the ones i've come across on the net are Pictionary Junior, Pictionary Classic & the latest one, Pictionary Mania. My second question would be, can anybody tell me the differences between Pictionary Classic & Pictionary Mania? Ive played Pictionary Classic before, but i dont know how Pictionary Mania is played.

I would love to buy Pictionary Classic cz it's a fun game. But like i mentioned earlier, ive only heard of rumors that Pictionary Mania is being sold in Parkson. I would like to know the exact differences between Pictionary Classic & Pictionary Mania first before deciding on which one to buy.

Thanks in advance.

Router often disconnects

hey. im wondering if anyone could assist me with my problem. i am using aztech DSL600EW router. der has been a problem with it lately. my router disconnects from internet every few minutes. sometimes few seconds. sometimes few hours. i dont know what caused it. the LAN is still connected, only the DSL and internet lights keep on disappearing. sometimes the DSL light blinks and internet light goes off. sometimes they both go off. it's so random and unspecified. so i dont know what the problem is.

i updated my firmware to 66.53.xx some time ago (porobably more than a month, i cant remember exactly when). could the upgrade somehow cause the problem? but there was no symptom of the problem right after i upgraded the firmware. the problem started 1 or 2 weeks ago.

now i cant get a stable internet connection at all. it dces so often. but sometimes it's ok. most of the time it sux. is it a hardware problem? ISP problem? streamyx problem? anyone has any idea? thx!

Video and Modem Woe

hey all.. im new here.

i've got few problems that i hope u guys can help resolve. first of all, it's regarding my video files (specifically, avi and mpg files), by default, windows media player is not able to play raw avi files and additional codec needs to be installed.

i have just formatted my laptop recently, so i had installed the appropriate codec, the problem is that, i cant view the video preview when seen in normal windows explorer, and i can only see windows media player icons as the thumbnail of the videos. the movie is able to be played by windows media player, but it's not giving any preview of the first frame of that video.

do u knw what could have caused it? i hv installed quite a few codecs since i formatted that i tink the system has got confused over the clashes of the codecs.

i have tried uninstalling the codecs and reinstalling them all back, that didnt work. i have also tried uninstalling them and installed just one, that didnt work either. i have tried disabling windows media player as the default player and enabling it back, no luck. i have also tried disabling the video thumbnail preview for windows and reenabling it, didnt work.

so now i dont know what else to do. maybe it's because the codecs have not been completely removed, cz some of the codecs didnt have uninstallers and were not listed in the "add or remove programs" list. so i cant be sure if it has been removed or not.

i dont knw the significance of this but im gonna say it anyway, just in case. fyi, i have these players installed in my laptop:- iTunes, quicktime player, and Video LAN player. could any of them have caused it?

and the codecs i installed were from http://www.free-codecs.com

my second problem is regarding my modem and portforwarding.

i have a 2-in-1 modem of four LAN ports and also wireless router. so, say my pc is connected to the internet, directly to the modem through the ethernet cable. and two other laptops are connected to the internet through the wireless router.

my question is that, do i need to portforward for all three (i mean, the PC, 1st n 2nd laptop)? if yes, how do i do that? or is it just the laptops that need portforwarding?

i have portforwarded the 1st laptop n it works fine. but when i tried to use the PC, the connection was limited as though it is blocked by a firewall or sumtin. this is particularly noticeable when running p2p torrent program on my PC. how do i portforward the PC?

well, that's all i guess, i would appreciate it if u guys could help me through with this. thanx in advance!
