No credit for my BM. What to do now?

I'm planning on pursuing my studies in UniKL (Foundation in Science and Technology followed by . However the requirements for the foundation programme that I'm interested in requires at least 6 credits including at least a C for BM.
I got a D for my results which is BM. That pretty much spoils everything, since I got credits on all the electives and compulsory subjects other than BM.
At this point, I'm not really sure what should I do. I would waste another year if I'm going to retake it. I would be confident to have my paper remarked, but the review will be posted 2 months after the deadline, which would make retaking it a much viable option. My father reckons I should look for other institutes.
