Buying Comic Books from US

Hi all

My friend in US has been helping me buy comic books since it's very much cheaper there.
She currently have 10-12 issues bought for me right now and plans to ship them out to me soon via USPS.

However, she asked me if there's any limitation to number of comic books she could send?
This is because a Vietnamese mutual friend of ours said that over in Vietnam, they have a limitation of only 10 books allowed at one time and that they need to get a special approval from one of their government agencies.

Does anyone know if similar procedure is required here? I know that the comics themselves are not taxable (per my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong) but do I require any special approval? I can't seem to find any info on this in both MOHA and Kastam. Anyone has any experience receiving comic books from US?

(Comic books I'm talking about are those single-issue Marvel/DC comics so they're rather thin-ish. And I won't say "buy" because all bills were under my friend's name and she very much would declare these comics as gift to me anyway)

Hi

I’d like to ask for advice.

This morning my 8+ was at 10% battery life when it suddenly black screened me, overheated and I guess just died down.

At first I thought coz my battery is old since it’s been acting out lately. But then when I plug in my charger it didn’t work. Neither did force restarting (the volume up and down thing)

So I went to an authorised service centre and it says something faulty with my Taptic and Apple Policy says cannot change just Taptic but must do a phone replacement (which I might as well buy a new one tbh since it’s already 2k++)

Is this true? Hope someone could advice me on this Coz I do hope to salvage my phone if possible since it’s still in a good condition apart from this sudden problem (also new phone is expensive lol)

My online shop (which customer base mostly in the US) is suffering greatly because POS has stopped all international outbound mails. Last time they allow EMS, now even EMS not allowed.

Does anyone know if there's any reasonable priced shipping company that can ship to US/UK/EU?
Speed is not an issue coz I always use registered airmail which took approx 2-3 weeks to reach back then.
DHL is like, RM120 ($40++) for 0.5kg lol I don't think my customers would want to pay that much when my items cost only $5-$10

Hi.

I used to study japanese in ICLS up to Elementary 2. I stopped in 2012.

Recently I went to KL School as I have the intention to continue my study but apparently they have changed the textbook and perhaps the syllabus a little too. I used to use the white text book from Beginner until Elementary 2 (あぱかばにひんご 1) but I think now they’re using みんなの日本語 I

I’m planning to re-enroll in Elementary 2 instead of Intermediate 1 as I may need to refresh my memory on てkei.

My question is
1) May I know what does Elementary 1 covers up to? They told me to take placement test to determine my proficiency level
2) have they started kanji introduction? As the new textbook has no romanji at all

New PC got static sound in speaker/headphone

Hi all,

I just got a new computer but whatever output I plugged in got some static sound whenever I listen to songs.
At first I thought it was my speaker but it's the same for my headphone too

Any idea how to resolve this issue? Dont think its speaker or headphone thats faulty because they're both pretty new.

First of all, sorry mods if I’m posting this wrongly because not sure if this should be here or under Software. Anyway I need help regarding my PC

Just now there was a power trip while I was using my PC

When I tried restarting my PC after, I’m stuck at Windows System Repair screen and keep getting the error below.

I’ve tried so many times and yet still have the problem.

1) I tried login as admin but System Restore didn’t work as it said no restore points found

2) I also tried using bootrec and it didn’t work too

I read some guide that mention I need the CD to fix this problem but this computer is really old and I don’t even know where it is anymore lol

Hi guys,

I need to get a new PC and the last time I bought myself was like 10 years ago during Pentium 3 or 4 time LOL.
Currently using a hand-me-down which definitely has lived beyond its life span.

Anyway, I use my PC mainly for illustration and gaming.
I'm not a professional artist but I do draw in to print and sell (but I probably draw in A2 size at most?).
I already have a PS4 but I still want to play games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Metal Gear Solid 5, Fallout 4, Sims 4 for mods =X
Occasionally when I remember that I have a DSLR, I would also want to process my raw images.

Need to build from scratch and my budget is around RM3.2k (inclusive monitor. But not a priority. I can still use my current one) but I'm okay if it stretches by RM500+/-
Looking for a rig that can still be good in 3-4 years time (not sure what's the gaming standard by then but yeah!)

I tried simulating my rig but it came out to RM3.8k but I'm not sure if I was being over ambitious or what haha
Seek guidance from all you senpais ;w;
