Boot Problem

My pc spec:
intel pentium 4 2.80Ghz, biostar P4tsv FSB800 PC3200 SC478,
2x256MB Kingston DDR 400(2 slots only), GeForce 5200 128MB(if im not mistaken),
WDC 160GB SATA 16MB and Maxtor 80GB SATA 16MB,
Pheonix Tech LTD AwardBIOS version 6.00(2004)

first, the screen of Last Known Good Configuration appears..then error msg "NTLDR is missing" appears..i don't think there is a problem with my hard disk(i didn't try to copy ntldr from other pc)..so i reset my CMOS setting(battery off for 30 minutes)..when i try to boot again, it will take a long time to boot but it stucked there(won't enter my desktop)..I have reformat my pc but the problem will occur again, just a matter of time(last for 3 weeks maybe)..then the same problem occur again..

maybe this is the symptom, my mouse pointer won't move(stucked) but i can still click here and there..in other word it can work normally but without a pointer..i have to guess where my pointer location and click as usual..

do i have to update my bios?..i can't find the latest version..

can anyone help me..i'm using windows xp..i have this panasonic kx-p1121..when i first use it, it was ok but then it started to display error message..i'm not sure what the messages are because the printer is not with me now..should i install the driver?..where could i find kx-p1121 win xp driver?..the driver should be included in the OS i'm sure, but somehow i can't print anymore..
