Can students wear wearable in public school?

Im thinking of buying fitbit or apple watch for my nephew and niece as their birthday presents. The thing is, they are still students so i wonder if they can wear it to school without it being confiscated or getting in trouble? Theft is another case, but just want to know the school policies etc etc.

Edit 2: I want them to be able to tell time still. I also want them to be healthy so I want them to be able to monitor their step count/heart rate/sleep pattern when to go back home and sync it with their smartphones. All that notification etc is just bonus for when they are not in school. I know for a fact that smartphones are not allowed, so at least when they are in school, they can still look at their fitness data.

Edit 3: No apple watch or anything more than RM500. I am not as kaya as you all think

lai lai comment! IDC say market looks good despite GST. All agree?

During a media gathering held in their office, the market research and advisory firm, International Data Corporation (IDC) shared with members of the media its predictions and perspectives on the outlook for smart devices in the Malaysian market. Judging by what they shared, it looks as though the Goods and Services Tax (GST) won’t really hit the market too tremendously. More info below:

http://amanz.net/20151455/idc-releases-mar...es-in-malaysia/
