Hi guys ,

I recently found out in gaming that overclocking your DDR4 ram can help remove stutter when your CPU is 100 % maxed out. Currently i`m using 8GB x 2 G. Skill Rip jaw V DDR4 2800 C 17 ( currently using at 2133 mhz c15).
The problems is that my Mobo As rock Pro 4 Z370M refuses to post whenever i enable XMP to 2800 MHZ CL17-17-17-37-2T , just for testing purpose i decided to manually set it to 2400mhz 15-15-15-36-2T , i was able to boot up the computer and enter Windows play a couple of games without any issue.

So , my question is that is there any danger to the ram if i wish to manually overclock it , since XMP doesn't work . I would like to go higher to 2800Mhz or 3200 Mhz as 2400mhz doesn't really seem to have much effect on gaming.
