Hi,
I have decided to purchase a pair of kef q300 book shelf speakers for my home entertainment.

Now deciding on the av, the sales rep recommended the marrantz Sr 5005 or pioneer 1021.

I usually use the speakers to watch movie n listen to some music n also some ps3 gaming.

I did a demo on both av n I can't decide. I only demo listening to music tho. As I m also planning to only use a 3.1 setup do I really need to get a 7.1 av? Does the cheaper 5.1 models still produce the same quality sound?

I m confuse, please help...
