Buying a chromebook?

Hi

I am thinking of getting myself a chromebook for my work use. I've already got a PC and a (aging) laptop, and I need something that is reasonably cheap, lightweight and good battery life. I'll mainly use it for typing and some light browsing, email etc so I think a chromebook should do just fine.

I did set my eyes on this one: ASUS Chromebook c201 The total price plus shipping is around RM1k.

Since there's seems to be too few choices for chromebook locally, I decided to buy it from Amazon. And its cheaper there anyway. But the cons is the custom duty. Will I get tax for this? I've read some conflicting stories that electronic goods wouldn't be charge for tax. Add sumore abt the permit for SIRIM and warranty.

So. Should I just buy it from amazon and risk paying extra for the chromebook? Or should I just avoid all the hassle and waiting and get myself a netbook/something similar?

My budget is around RM800-1.3k.
