http://forum.lowyat.net/ Thu, 18 Jun 2026 12:11:49 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3235509 Recently bought an Himedia Q3ii with latest firmware installed and and have encountered problem annoyances with the stock browser for me as follows (I usually prefer the stock browser):<br /><br />Pb 1<br />Open the stock browser to a search page and key in a search topic using the softkeyboard. Press enter on the softkeyboard and the search goes nowhere. It locks up the search topic and the softkeyboard and mouse click can change nothing to the search topic and the soft keyboard is locked. Only pressing search on the search function magnifying glass in the we page takes one forward to the topic typed.<br /><br />Pb 2<br />In stock browser go to settings-accessibility and scroll down... this automatically shuts down the browser<br /><br />Pb 3<br />Open a web page and click to make a search of a word, click web search at the top of the page and nothing happens. The web search function is dead.<br /><br />Pb 4<br />Install Esfile explorer. Try to download a file from a website through the stock browser - Press the download and the stock browser crashes which needs restarting and navigation back to the download page.<br /><br />Pb 5<br />Try to view a flash file embedded in a web page does not work.<br /><br />I have other android tv box and stick systems and all are working, none give the above problems. Dolphin web browser with jetpack and flash is working all the above functions are working normally.<br /><br />It seems Himedia modified the stock android browser and they have messed up a few things which is disappointing.<br /><br />I can replace the stock browser on launcher page but a reboot resets everthing back to Himedia launcher settings and its annoying to restablish the launcher page to how I want it at every reboot.<br /><br />Anybody else with the same problems with Himedia stock browser and what can be done to fix??
