How Is The A Level Marking Scheme?

My best friend has just re-taken her A-levels Express(2 subjects) examination. She is deathly worried that she might fail her A2 economics subjective paper. I have been trying to tell her that even if she fails one unit of economics she would not necessarily fail her economics entirely. This persuasion has become a failure. Thus, I require some outside opinions on this. I have several questions to ask.

1.

How does the marking scheme work for AS and A2?

2.

If she does worse in A2 but did good in AS, can the A2 marks be substituted with the ones from the previous exam?

3.

Can she fail her A2 but still pass (AS marks save her)?

4.

If she fails one paper in A2, would her A2 automatically fail or can she still pass her A2? As in she does superbly in her A2 objective paper but terribly in her A2 subjective paper, can she still pass her economics A2?

5.

And lastly my own question, how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?

Any other information or advice regarding the matter would be much appreciated.

I have just finished my economics paper and her worries are making me worried too.
