Excel static link to change to dynamic link

Normally in excel, when you want to point one column to another column in another worksheet, the formulae is '001'!D25
Where,

'001' = worksheet name
!D25 is the the column name.

if i have 1000 worksheet, and I cannot just manually go and click one by one, so how do i change the '001' into dynamic?
For example

Column1 Column2

001 'column1'!D25
002 'column2'!D25

This way, i create a list at one cell, and another cell just refer to this column1 value.
But this formulae doesnt work.

any advise how to do it?

Windows 7 Network Sharing Fail -- > why?

Hi,

recently just install windows 7. But i cant seem to get to do file sharing using windows 7. Does anyone here encounter the same issue. Below are my setting in windows7:

a) Firewall disable
b) File sharing mode is simple
c) Folder Sharing -> set to permission -> everyone -> full control
d) Folder Security -> set permission to -> by default...

my PC IP is "192.168.0.3", so when i connect to my own PC, i can see everything.
But when i connect from other PC (using windows vista and XP), i totally cannot get anything..why?

My windows 7 is using 64 bits, and other is using 32bits. Can this be the problem?
Can anyone help.

I am planning to buy 802.11n router and the adapter. I done some research (and if you didnt, pls do research before drop forum here), there are few product that can support the latest 802.11n certify product. Before i start off with the product intro and discuss, let me explain one thing, according to standard 802.11n rfc, a router should be about to run 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz only will be consider 802.11n certify. Whether or not running either one or simultaneously it doesn't matter. Of cos 802.11n has option build into that was documented in the 802.11n rfc but for me it didnt matter much because i wont be using it much (for example WPS, WEP, WPA, short guard and bla bla bla).

Okay let start with the doubt i have. since i dont have the hardware for testing and only can refer to internet for more information, the website i used to refer to for networking things is "smallbuilder.net", but i doubt also the result sometime, so i am opening this meaning forum to discuss. Once again, ppl will REAL EXPERIENCE is really appreciate to talk, else others...just sit and listen better la...(It is really important to have a solid info here for buyer to know what to buy and not get cheated by lowyat shopper.....)

Product 1 - From Dlink
Router - 855 or 825
Adapter - DWA 160 V1 and V2
Description - 855 has higher processing and power than 825 and dlink has been producing good product last few years. i am using 635 and never hang before (even under strong strong BT). So i like dlink. But the major issue is the adapter DWA 160 v1 and v2 has many issue if u look through the internet. Most issue is connection DC all the time, the connection not stable and connection cannot reach to the full speed as claimed. I personally got DWA 160 V1 with DIR635, and the max speed is only 30mbps and average 24mbsps only...So where is the FXXX is the 300mbps dlink is talking about.

Product 2 - From NetGear
Router - WNDR3700
Adapter - WNDA3100
Description - Apart from WNDR3700, other product from netgear all cannot pakai....many many issue on warranty and also support. If you go to lowyat, all shopper also dont wan to sell netgear product because of warranty difficulty. But lately they release a very powerful router call WNDR3700, an if u check on the smallbuilder website, it nearly hit the highest score for all type of freuqnecy compare other router. Even Dlink 855 also lose to this netgear router. But the main main issue here is, i dont see anyone using this router yet. I search around in forum and google around, expert review a lot la.....but there is not real user review....so i also dont know whether is the result in smallbuilder really genuine or not.....sometime it can be marketing strategic where vendor pay reviewer to write flower flower things.....So i really need feedback on this..

Product 3 - Linksys
Router - WRT610N
Adapter - USB600N
Description - Linksys main issue is it's too expensive and cannot be justify by cisco themself. They thought by putting high price, then ppl will thing it is a good thing. Kind of marketing gimmy...for me i dont buy the shit story lol...OK back to story..according to smallbuilder, the result is average only, which is below dlink 855 or 825. But for some website (maybe the reviewer is cisco supported) they say this router is damn damn good, even the 855 cannot beat the WRT610N. I dont have this router so i dont know man....but for sure smallbuilder is not telling that way.

Other product - Buffalo, TPlink, aztech, bla bla....
Router - bla bla
Adapter - Bla bla
Description - I dont want to talk about all this product, because no dual band system and really not a very good brand as i know, as i have used before. Buffalo in the other hand is really really good, but only thing is they dont have 5Ghz router ....so no need talk much lo....

Question and doubt

1) Actually in real life scenerio which one is faster in average speed. I dont wan to talk about bursting..because it's not accurate. PPL who use it pls write your comment here. Other small low end router user...no need cerita la...this forum is for high end only.

2) For the 802.11n adapter, did anyone cross use it with other vendor router before? and how is the effect? i got DWA now, i plan to get netgear and cisco soon for testing purpose. But i dont have much money to test on router la..since so exp....if anyone kind enuf, i can always come over and test your router if you have the high router...

3) Possible what is the setting you guys use to reach the max average throughput. Few factor below play a big role.
a) Short GI
b) 802.11n mode only / Mixed Mode b, g, n
c) 20mhz/ 40mhz
d) 5ghz/ 2.4 ghz spectrum
e) auto frequency adjustment OR manual frequnecy setting
f) With security mode on / off (encryption will increase overhead to packet size and processor, hence affect the throughput)

Can Norton Ghost do Image to HDD2 recovery

Say i have a HDD1 about 30gb parition size for the primary partition. So i backup the partition using norton ghost to an image. Then i plug in a new HDD call HDD2, due to the reason that the HDD1 go KO. But this new HDD2 primary partition was set to either larger or smaller partition . Can i use this norton ghost to recovery back the image to this HDD2 but still maintain the secondary partition size and not following the image partition size?

As for my understand no acronis true image, you can do it. The second HDD will be repartition and follow the same size as the image partition size, If secnd HDD has larger partition size, it will become unallocated partition. I check this will acronis agent already and they confirm this. So i am looking into other software about to perform this task. As i know acronis migrate can do it but it cannot recovery from image to second harddisk, it can only do a primary HDD to second HDD image transfer..

But i do heard that new version acronis 2009 can support this feature. But how about norton ghost latest version?

So the big big big big question is, neglect the midrange and treble (high frequency) sound la....compare loud and bass strong and solid.......can i get 2 set of z2300 to fight with one set of z5500. Why i think of compare this thing....you think i "eat and nothing to do so free arr...".....the reason is because price of two set 2300 is only 1100, 500 cheaper than z5500.....some more 2 biji subwoofer, 120 + 120 = 240Watt RMS.....that is extremely LOUD LOUD

Okay let me take you some where why i wan two biji of subwoofer.....my car got one 12" subwoofer kicker brand...240Watt, my ampliefer is 265watt...that means very good bass la....when i say good is solid sound....soild sound means the bass when keluar the sound no "ng ng ng" sound....which make u sick.....the solis sound i am talking is "bong bongbong " sound....chinease say "satu biji satu biji" sound....

okay finish with taht.....one day my car audio installer boss tell me to listen to 10" 130Watt woofer. the brand i dont know what is cap+palang one la...the amplifer i is exactly like mine one la.....when open the sound....WOOOOWWW, the sound even more solid la....with loud volume also the bass very slid liaw....so i come to realise that two speaker is always good than one speaker even the one speaker is very powerfully

so back the computer speaker issue....so anyone doing computer reseller, got time test test which one is good.I beg the two set Z2300 is louder la...no doubt.....but what i am talking is the SOLID.....SOLID.....SOLID sound...OKAY!!!?????

DLink DIR-635 Comment and Review

a) reliability (hang, reboot, or etc)
b) Wireless peformance (signal and speed transfer)

WRT54G v7 hang because BT and solution to it

Recently bought a WRT54G v7, and there is a major problem with it, which the router hang everyday. What i mean by hang is:

a) cannot get IP address
b) cannot login to the router web managment
c) cannot surf internet.

If you don't run BT, it's shouldnt be a problem. But wrt54g have a solid hardware, where i did a stress test with it. I pump traffic from PC 1 to PC 2 using LAN-to-LAN, then PC3 to PC1 using wirless-to-LAN. And PC4 is running BT via LAN. Then finally my laptop is connected via wireless and surf internet. With all the concurrent connection and traffic, my laptop still manage to surf. For other router like AZtech, old dlink and SMC which i tried, my laptop sure cannot surf. This prove linksys hardware is quite solid.

Back the problem. So wrt54g v7 does hang like SXXT every 24 hours.

Therefore i venture out to look for solution. Everyone in the forum have this problem too. There are so many versioin of WRT54G, and each model had their own problem and different way to solve it. If you wan to know the history click the URL below.

Since i am using wrt54g v7, therefore i will just emphase on this. WRT54g v7 has few things to note:

a) using Atheros chipset. No problem with this, but the only problem is Atheros don't like to release document. Even if Atheros releasse, the document is not complete. This has a impact where 3rd-party firmware programmer cannot produce a firmware(like DD-WRT) for WRT54gv7.

b) ROM and RAM is reduce to half. Linksys believe this has no affect on the performance since linksys think atheros is better than broadcom. The impact again to us is, performance sure decreasse, 3rd-party firmware programmer need to rewrite firmware for WRT54G (which take time). But with Atheros chipset, linksys claim that it will have the same performance as other model.

c) Firmware is using VxWork instead linux. From v1 to v4 is using linux, and dont know why linksys change to VxWork since v5. No doubt VxWork is older than linux, and prove very reliable in the past. But brother linksys!!!!, that is the past la. Linux is improving so fast because it's OPEN SOURCE. like chinese phrase say "3 idiot is better than 1 zu ke liang". More ppl more power. Linksys has modify many time the original firmware and latestly is 7.00.4 which claim to solve most problem especially with BT

Solution
=====
After upgrade to 7.00.4 my problem still insists, therefore i contact linksys live chat for more answer. I did many troubleshooting myself and help from linksys, and finally i found a solution of this hang hang problem.

a) After upgrade firmware to 7.00.4, PLS PLS PLS do a hard Reset for 30 sec. Hard rest mean, press the reset button and hold it for 30 SEC. you will see the LED blinking. After that restart your router and configured everything agaiin. many ppl always miss the reset part , that is why so many problem.

b) change MTU 1300, -- I am still testing on this. But the linksys engineer ask to do one.

c) try to disable the log, as this willcause more hardware resource.

d) try to put every setting in manual setting. Meaning defined everything yourself instead putting "AUTO". This will make the life of the router easy. However DHCP can be auto la.... What i mean Manual setting is like "Wireless mode, RTS, CTS value and etc"

e) try not to use the QOS. Even in juniper( the most powerful router in earth) has problem with QOS. I amnot talking about small devices, i amtalking about high-end router that cost 1 million one....also have QOS problem something. If possible dont use la..

Summary
======
My router is still undergoing stress test, which has been up for 35 hours already. But still havent hang, and i am still testing it. hopefully it will not hang la.

The reason write this longlong article is because many have give up linsys product. i am not supporter of linksys but i do hope ppl can see thing in many different perpective and judge thing correct.

second reason is too many ppl buy wrt54g v7 and are helpess . So just want to help this ppl.
