We are about to conclude (for now) the development part of GTO.

GeoAutos (GTO) is an online geo-location directory for major car make service centre and showroom nationwide. Think of Yellow Pages for service centre. User can search their prefered car make and filter it by the location. We have around 600 service centres and showroom nationwide for major car make. Each of the service have their own information available such as name, address, contact info, and manager details.

I posted on MFC FB Group.. so I guess I paste it here..

So why GTO? I have been in MFC group since we have around 2000 members and now look at us, almost 7000 members. We always have the same question when we want to send our car for service or recommending a good SC.

Which SC is the best? Do they have bad review? What other people think of their service? With GTO, you can easily navigate between service centre and give your comments and feedback.

On the website itself, they might have couple of features which are not yet working very well (BETA!) or totally broke.

We have around 700 service centres nationwide for major car make such as KIA, Proton, Perodua, Toyota, Honda etc.

A discussion for all of us..

Assume you have grand/novel/new/innovative idea that you have in mind, but you don't have the skills or enough resources to execute those ideas. What's next?

I define resources as:
- Money
- Skills (e.g. coding)
- Contacts
- Customer

What would you do? How you will turn your idea into something useful? Where you can get all those resources that you need to kick off your business?

Assuming you have the products, but you don't have the buyer/customer, what you will do? Do you have contacts to help you?

Anyone have any idea how to execute those ideas in Malaysia? I think when you have something in mind, let's say, build some wonderful website/system, you still need to have contacts to bring you and help you sell those.

I have A product. I know the product will be useful to certain operators/retailer, how do you approach them? Without any internal/kroni contacts of course..

Linux on Laptop

One question popup in my mind, how to improve linux distro performance on mobile device such as laptop?

Performance or support on battery life, wireless support, mobility etc.

Currently, I'm using Fedora 12 on my laptop. In F12, there is an applet of scaling CPU frequency. Therefore, I can set to lowest possible of my CPU freq, hence, reduce power load. How bout you guys? What type of tweaks/mod did you do to make your laptop 'more mobile' when running linux such as disable unwanted daemon?

My load average, 0.04, 0.16, 0.17 running on 90% battery. 1 hour and 30 minutes later, my battery on 28.6%. Not sure either this is the average battery life for laptop on linux.

Wireless - ON
Bluetooth - ON

CPU scale at 800 MHz instead of 2GHz.

Hardware problem?

Modo : gigabyte
proc : intel c2d
ram : 2gb
psu : ayam

Problem start when i play FM then after like 3 hours, pc suddenly turn OFF. I try to turn on, after a windows loading screen, turn off again. I open up my case, i saw my CPU fan is not connected, therefore, I connect it again and try to turn on, then the same thing happen.

What I can notice is, there is no sound from mobo for the initial setup. like 'toot' sound. . So, if there is no sound, what is the problem? what the sound represent?

2nd, sometime, i manage to boot up my windows, and suddenly, my pc stuck and keyboard suddenly my usb mouse also didnt respond? i think the usb kinda shut off cuz there is no light from the bottom of my mouse? hardware problem?

if i manage to boot linux, there is no problem, if i boot windows, there is possibility of my pc stuck again. i d format the windows partition, but still, have the same problem.

Any step do i take to confirm that it might be hardware problem? or anything.

PC Fair Exhibition at UTP

As per title above.. here the details :-

Event : PC Fair Exhibition
Date : Around March,2009
Venue : Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Tronoh, Perak

this was the draft for our university event for the next semester.. so.. as per exhibition.. i nd to find ppl to attend the exhibition, maybe ppl who sell stuff or any electronic stuff, which able to come down to tronoh are much2 welcome

the details, will be given later.. as far as i know.. for one booth, the price is around rm 800-900.. for the event, among the biggest event for our next semester.. expected, the event will be cover my media (newspaper maybe.. idk details about this )

expected.. maybe around 10-20 exhibitor will be placed around our grand Chancellor Hall.. yet to be confirmed..

the event will be open to all.. students, local residential.. other university student around, UiTM Sri Iskandar..

even when i do nothing.. juz open mirc and browser.. for a long tym.. then.. minimize.. maximize again.. hang.. y eh?

I just bought my se for about 3 months...

n my hp always slip n smash da floor.. hahha.. dunno y

so.. my hp hang.. i cant start it..

i send to da shop where i bought it.. it says, maybe LCD problem.. fine.. i gave to them... but i take back coz my fren other shop was cheaper than that shop.. after i give to the shop, they said they cant repair it.. so, that shop giv back to the first shop i mention before... after several weeks, they said they also cant repair it..

my hp jump and jump to other shop.. they all cant repair it ...

for the first shop, my fren said, many ppl was cheated by that shop.. damn..

where can i fix my hp? authorised dealer can ka?
