Hi all,

I have been using prepaid hotlink 365 for many years, but it’s limited by 3G. Maxis told me that I’ll lose 365 if I upgrade to 4G.

So I’m wondering what’s the best telco out there now that offers at least 1 year validity with 4G speed? Thanks.

(I tried asking in the long validity pinned thread which is 3 years old and dead)

Hi all,

I'm currently a permanent resident in Australia and I'm considering getting Australian citizenship. I understand that we can't have dual citizenship.

BUT, I've heard of people doing this and remains undetected / got into trouble.

So I'm wondering if anyone out there knows any story about someone holding dual citizenship at the moment and remains undetected? If so, how do they do it?

Cant change resolution

hi guys,

Just formatted my pc, currently using vista 32bit, with geforce 8800GT and latest driver. My sony's lcd tv's native resolution is 1920x1080. Did not have problems before formatting.

But now whenever i change my resolution to 1920x1080 and restart my pc, it'll change back to the min resolution which is 800x600... very annoying. I'm able to change to 1920x1080 and use that resolution, as long as i dont restart my com lol

any ideas y my pc/tv keep changing my resolution back to min settings?

hi guys,

Just bought a mamba, and i'm having problems installing it. This is what i did:

1. connected the charging dock to my laptop via the supplied usb cable.
2. windows 7 (home premium 64bit) could not recognise it.
3. installed driver, but still not recognised.
4. tried swapping usb slots, to no avail.
5. tried updating driver from the unrecognised usb device window, and browsed to mamba folder, but it says my driver is up-to-date, what BS...

I think the problem is connecting the charging dock without installing the driver first. I tried uninstalling the unrecognised usb device and reinstalling the driver but did not work. I've also tried uninstalling every single usb controllers and reinstalling them but did not work either. To make things worse, the message saying "usb device not recognised" at the bottom right keeps popping up, even when the mouse is not connected...

Any ideas?

Hi all,

Booked a civic 2 months ago and the car is here now. However, Honda contacted my mum (I'm not in Malaysia) and told her to make the full payment before they go ahead with the registration. I bought a new car here in oz before and we make the final payment after inspecting the car and making sure everything is fine, including registration. Isn't it the same in Malaysia??

hi, just yesterday my computer started having problem, it cant boot into windows. it get stucked at the motherboard's start up screen (where u can choose bios, xpress recovery 2, boot menu, Qflash). i can go into bios but nothing else. this is my rig:

Intel Core 2 Duo
Gigabyte X38-DS5
4GB ddr ii ram
Geforce 8800 GT
400GB harddisk
Windows 7 RC (dl-ed from microsoft site)

I didnt install anything new recently...

hi guys, i have a burning question on how to achieve the effect in this photo (by chenws, a medical doctor with excellent photography skills):

notice the center which is brighter than the rest? besides using lens vignetting function, which only darkens the borders, what other ways can i do it if i wanted to selectively brighten or darken a certain area? dodge and burn? anything else?

have a look at his website ChenWS to know more about his type of photography. the contrast and colours r so professionally executed (by photoshop i presume). and a lot of the main subjects in his photos r brighter than the darker background, HOW do u do this??

any sifu knows??

ok, planning to change car early next year. currently considering VW Golf GTI (MKV), Civic Type R (euro, not JDM), Lancer Ralliart and Impreza WRX sedan. they all cost about the same here in australia. which 1 would u prefer? just a snapshot:

Golf GTI:

TV tuner

hi, i've just bought an external tv tuner. i plan to use it with my pc, which is about 1m away from my laptop. i've just found out that when im using the tv tuner with my laptop, with pc off, it works fine; but the signal quality declined tremendously when the pc is on, to a point where i cant watch anything on my laptop. same story when i try to use it on my pc, far fewer channels than using on my laptop alone (with pc off).

so i've come to a conclusion that my pc is interfering with the signal reception. i rent an apartment and there isnt other options other than moving my laptop or pc around my room. my question is, is it better to get a longer coaxial cable for the indoor antenna (dedicated antenna, not bundled with tv tuner) in order to move it further away from the pc (within my room), or is there any other way to improve the signal reception?

edit: btw, it's digital signal for HD TV viewing. is this the usual case with digital signal?? that it's easily affected by pc?? if so, then what's the point of using a tv tuner with a pc??
