Dell Studio vs Sony Vaio CW series

I went to PJ IT Mall and Low Yat to look for a new laptop for my future work which involves overseas assignments, and was recommended a superb model/spec with superb price, only to be told that it that went out of stock !

The model was :

Asus A52JR
Intel® Core™ I3-350M 2.26 GHz

ATI 5470 1GB DDR3
4GB DDR3 RAM (upgraded from 2GB)
500 GB HD
2-year international warranty

Apparently, the ASUS model was selling like hot cakes, that all stocks were fully sold out, with no guarantee on when new stocks will arrive as (apparently) the supplier was holding on to stock for the upcoming PC Fair in April.

So then I went to check out Acer laptops with similar specs :

... only to be told it was sold out too.

So now I'm back to the drawing board, and having to contemplate forking out extra 1G ( ) for either a Dell or Sony:

My usage/needs would mainly involve
- photo editing (large raw TIFF files)
- music recording/editing
- gaming (occasional)
- international warranty

What would you choose in my shoes ? Dell would definitely have cheaper spare parts, but Sony has typically good built quality. Then again, the Vaio looks awesome (gotta see to believe), but is the Dell Studio a slouch ?

Or are the similar spec-ed laptops I should also contemplate ?

Or am I being too greedy with my specs ?
