Dell Studio vs Sony Vaio CW series

I went to PJ IT Mall and Low Yat to look for a new laptop for my future work which involves overseas assignments, and was recommended a superb model/spec with superb price, only to be told that it that went out of stock !

The model was :

Asus A52JR
Intel® Core™ I3-350M 2.26 GHz
15.6"
ATI 5470 1GB DDR3
4GB DDR3 RAM (upgraded from 2GB)
500 GB HD
2-year international warranty
RM3099

Apparently, the ASUS model was selling like hot cakes, that all stocks were fully sold out, with no guarantee on when new stocks will arrive as (apparently) the supplier was holding on to stock for the upcoming PC Fair in April.

So then I went to check out Acer laptops with similar specs :

Acer Aspire 5470G
Intel® Core™ I5-M520 2.4Ghz
15.6"
ATI 5470 512MB DDR3
4GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB HD
No international warranty
RM3099

... only to be told it was sold out too.

So now I'm back to the drawing board, and having to contemplate forking out extra 1G ( ) for either a Dell or Sony:

Dell Studio 15
Intel® Core™ i5-520M Processor (2.4GHz, 4 Threads, turbo boost up to 2.93GHz, 3M cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)
15.6 " 720p WLED (1366x768) Display with TrueLife™
4GB (2GBx2) 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (Work at 1066MHz for Intel Arrandale CPU)
500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive (should I opt for 5400RPM to reduce heat + power consumption?)
Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5470 - 1GB
Integrated CREATIVE Sound Blaster® X-Fi MB Audio Software Solution (is this worth getting ?)
3 year international warranty
RM4007

or

Sony Vaio VPCCW26FG
Intel® Core™ i5-520M Processor 2.40 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.93 GHz*1
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit (English Version)
14" wide (WXGA++: 1600 x 900) TFT colour display (VAIO Display, LED Backlight)
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM *2 (upgradeable up to 8 GB*3)
500 GB*4 (Serial ATA, 5400 rpm)
DVD±RW/±R DL/RAM Drive
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M GPU with CUDA™ Technology, 512 MB GDDR3 SDRAM
1 year international warranty
RM4288

My usage/needs would mainly involve
- photo editing (large raw TIFF files)
- music recording/editing
- gaming (occasional)
- international warranty

What would you choose in my shoes ? Dell would definitely have cheaper spare parts, but Sony has typically good built quality. Then again, the Vaio looks awesome (gotta see to believe), but is the Dell Studio a slouch ?

Or are the similar spec-ed laptops I should also contemplate ?

Or am I being too greedy with my specs ?

Thanks in advance ...
