The upcomin TRX Apple Store might be 3 storey high

It literally just hit me half an hour ago after I realized it while looking through all of my pictures taken casually from visiting The Exchange TRX, so hear me out. (Apologize for oversized images, no idea how to resize it in LYN bbCode)

So, I have been walking around the mall and never once did I notice it hiding in plain sight (the only pic I have of it in this angle).

...until I came across it again and started actually noticing how shockingly huge the whole cover-up is, so took a close up pic of it this time (which is directly opposite the Aurum Theatre):

Fast forward to half an hour ago, after wondering how it's weird that it's only a single storey at the top when other Apple Stores I have seen are usually multi-storey, I realized that the pic above is *directly under the alleged Apple Store building*.

I unfortunately did not have a great pic showing both as a proof, so I had to take a screenshot from an earlier video I took that just happen to be at that direction and capture both the building and the covered up two-storey store (circled in red):

Not that I don't think anyone here is gonna doubt that it's the Apple Store, but I have looked up earlier in the directory screen in the mall earlier and confirmed that neither Machines nor Switch have outlets in The Exchange TRX (in fact, you can even look it up on the mall's official app which has the directory feature right now). It makes zero sense for either of them to not open up shop in what's probably the highest end mall in the whole country (even more so than Pavilion), unless...

EDIT: In case anyone's curious about the actual building in question, here's the full pic, right besides Kenny Hills Bakery:

Looking for materials to study for SPM resit

I failed my SPM (literally except English) and left school for at least a year now, and now I'm considering retaking BM, Sejarah and math.

The problem is I have a tiny (read: bad) Malay vocabulary (everything else is fine, maybe except some grammars) which is the main reason why I lost interest in study at HS (thus also failing Sejarah and math), and I have decided to pick it up again after checking the requirements for most courses but I don't know where to find the materials, so I'm looking for your help.

(In hindsight I should have read more Malay materials back then but I lacked the motivation, it's not a good excuse though)

EDIT: For the record I plan on applying for IT courses, preferably MMU (ya I am aiming a bit too high) but any reputable ones would do.

Need advices as a Form 4 student with failed Malay

I don't know if this is a right place to ask but since I don't think I can ask elsewhere on Internet I'll just give it a try here. Also, some of what I have typed here might not make sense/fit the rest so I'll apologize at here first just in case. (ignore all my pervious posts, I've abandoned them for now)

My Malay had been really bad at vocabulary and in some extent, grammar since primary school (though my Malay pronouncation is pretty standard according to some of my secondary teachers). My UPSR results are 1A (Chinese (Objective, if that's what it's called)), 4B (Chinese writing, Science, Mathematics, History/Geography if I recall correctly) and both 1D and 1E are Malays.

After graduation I went to private Chinese secondary school but came back to hometown after a month or two due to homesick. Since attending SMK my grades went downhill, I failed at literally every subjects that are taught at Malay (including Math, Science etc).

I wanted to study Computer Science at Uopeople (yes, online university, there's a reason why I chose it so don't convice me to go on-campus universities/colleges) but according to the requirement my math must be at least good enough for being accepted and e-mailing them a copy of my SPM certificate.

1. I have heard rumors that if my BM, History failed at SPM they won't give my certificate/it would be invalid etc. I am pretty sure it's unlikely but I'll ask just to confirm.

2. I am aware that Malay is really important if I decide to stay in Malaysia (no, I have no plans of going overseas as long as there's no major problem with it). Consider that my only problem with Malay is literally vocabulary and I don't like tuitions much, are there good online resources/books etc. for me to learn more words?

I don't really have any other questions for now. I'd appreciate if anyone can at least answer me, thanks.

Why do you think TMnet is bad?

As the title says, why do you think TMnet is bad or/and what complaints do you have to TM and what they could/SHOULD do to improve their service? (I need these to do something)

As a Streamyx 4Mbps owner, both the speed and the price are my concerns, and they should really either increase their speed, change the last mile technology to fiber, lower the price or both. (ADSL's maximum downlink speed is 24Mbps according to Wikipedia)

Thanks!

Suspected miscap [SOLVED]

EDIT: SOLVED, SEE #4.
Broadband provider
ISP/package: TM Streamyx 4Mbps
Location: IMO this is not important for this case
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Not yet

Personal equipment
Modem: TP-Link TD-W8961ND
Router: TP-Link TD-W8961ND
Firewall used:

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Probably September/October 2014
Problem frequency: Until now the problem is still not fixed
Problem description:
My package is Streamyx 4Mbps, as I have said. I was bothered by how did the speed get reduced by half for months (I did a speedtest) and I even called TM to do a port reset and it's still not solved. I even turned off the WLAN feature of my modem and connect it to a computer via LAN and did a speedtest, yet the problem persists.

These are right until I found this recently. That's when I believed that TM miscapped me for some reasons.

For some reasons I decide not to call their customer services and write an e-mail instead to them just now and also wrote that I will provide screenshots if they want it so here's it:

Now I am asking what should I do with it.

Aside from this, I think this modem have some problems since after a few months I own it I am not able to access 192.168.1.1 anymore, even after I restart the modem and it works for at least a day the problem still persists. I even tried it on LAN-only with WLAN feature disabled.

One note though, I actually replaced the same model with, yes, the same model due to the problem above and unable to connect to Internet at all after using it for like 1 year. Now I suspect that the model itself somehow have problem. Am I right?

[SERIOUS] Why bandwidth in Malaysia is expensive?

Actually, since there is character limit for the title section, I'll just say it here: why bandwidth in Malaysia are so much more expensive compared to other countries?

What I can think of:

1. TM is the primary/tier 1 ISP in Malaysia and they tend to set the bandwidth-per-price ratio themselves.

But since both Jaring and Time (exclude 100Mbps/100GB quota package) also offer the near-indentical price and AFAIK they lease their own lines, this doesn't make sense.

So I came off with this:

2. The global tier 1 ISPs have problem making bandwidth in Malaysia cheaper due to geographic. But this doesn't make much more sense than 1.

So what is the exact cause of this? Can anyone explain to me? Since I am unable to find my answer via Google.

Thanks.

EDIT: Grammar/wrong usage.

We should start multiple change.org campaigns.

The title says all. Anyway, to mods, if you think this topic is in the inappropriate forum, please just move it and don't delete it, thanks.
I know this will be mainly about internet more than most others first, but we can improve it, right?

NOTE: Of course the quality of the content are not good for change.org (not formal enough, that is), this is just a suggestion/planning topic so suggest whatever you can think of that will actually improve Malaysia itself. (Don't talk about 1M Programs, that's all)

We all know that Malaysia is bad in some places, like Internet (obviously), politics, laws etc. But I still have hope in Malaysia. So I think of starting multiple campaigns and hope that it will get into news.

So here are my suggestions (will add based on suggestions).

INTERNET (Err, mkay) (Targeting MCMC (or whatever department that can add laws about Internet and Service), TM and various other ISPs in Malaysia)

We all know that Malaysia's ISPs (stands for "Internet Service Providers") provide one of the worst price-per-bandwidth ratio in the World. Actually, I even did a research yesterday, albeit not really complete:

Malaysia Average Price-per-Bandwidth Comparasion | HOME INTERNET
Singapore Average Price-per-Bandwidth Comparasion | HOME INTERNET
(you can comment to suggest, maybe if some of you can help me add more countries and adding mobile internet service comparasion via Google Sheets...)

As you can read in the links, Malaysia's bandwidth is approx. 10 times more expensive compared to other countries. This cause other services based on Internet/bandwidth to be more expensive compared to other countries. (Web hosting, VPN etc.)

These are my suggestions below (just my 2 sen):

1. Price
(A) Based on the intro above, I found that RM1 per 1Mbps MAX to be optimal for customers, and RM3/4/5 per 1Mbps MAX to be optimal for both customers and the ISPs. I am not really good at it so do suggest what should I do with it. (Must be below RM10, that is)

2. Bandwidth
(A) Based on 1, all ISPs should either provide more bandwidth to make their packages satisfy the requirements in 1, or make their price lower to satisfy 1.

3. Coverage
(A) We all know that TM have the best home internet coverage in Malaysia, yet they don't even bother to open it to other ISPs for free at all and they don't even bother to upgrade their lines. We should force all ISPs to open their lines to other ISPs for free/with low cost and they should not restrict it for their own use. (Yes I know TM have Maxis as well as some other mobile carriers access to their lines but I am talking about home internet)

(B) Yes, I know it's easy for Singapore to have almost 100% of the land to have fiber optics installed and hard for Malaysia due to how big is it compared to Singapore. But all owners of the lines must place fiber optics on their existing copper lines ASAP. (Actually my town somehow have Celcom's fiber optics installed but since they still don't have home Internet package yet, it renders the fiber useless until they decide to release their home Internet packages. That's when 3(A) comes in useful)

OTHERS (Suggestions please)
These below are actually good for us, but some of them are closed. Perhaps we should restart those campaigns?

https://www.change.org/p/stop-malaysia-s-ba...g-rid-of-strays
https://www.change.org/p/abolish-death-penalty-in-malaysia <- THIS, ESPECIALLY CONSIDER THAT MALAYSIA HAVE AN EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS RECREATIONAL DRUGS LAW.
https://www.change.org/p/the-government-of-...dom-in-malaysia <- We all know that racism is one of the main problems that affect the country's development. I mean see THIS. (EDIT: Maybe it's not really that racist... I apologise for not reading the topic first)

Hope that there will be good suggestions, thanks.

EDIT: Please correct me if there is something wrong, thanks.

Sooo I have an idea for video game.

It's basically similar to https://www.kingdomcomerpg.com/ (seems good enough), but the main theme will be Malacca Sultanate (I compared it with Srivijaya and Majapahit and I think this by far suits my idea). And of course the game will not follow Kingdom Come's prologue of and the character itself.

The game will basically cover the entire kingdom (which are 2/3 of Peninsular Malaysia and part of Sumatra (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malacca_Sultanate#mediaviewer/File:Malacca_Sultanate_en.svg))

Adding the "place discovered" screen similar to Skyrim would be great too, which will be centered and with Jawi script as main language (http://www.ejawi.net/converterV2.php typing "Melaka") then English, Modern Malay, (probably) Chinese and Tamil as side languages. (喂喂喂我也是华人eh) (No racism here, just I feel that adding top 3 mostly used languages in Malacca Sultanate will be appropriate beside English) Like this:

The voice acting will based on the ethnics in the game then voice-act with appropriate language. (Example: Indians for Tamil/Hindu/based on what dialects did they speak, Malays for, well, Malay, and Chinese for (CAN'T BE MANDARIN RIGHT?) Cantonese/Teochew/Hakka/Hokkien/based on what dialects did they speak)

(I can only imagine of those by far, need more suggestions)
(To mods, please move the post if it's at the wrong forum, thanks )

EDIT: The engine will be UE4.

I've seen so many people in Malaysia who complained the speed isn't the same as the ISP described, so I think we should point out the problem. Shall we?

The speed described by the ISPs != the speed you will get.
NOTE: THIS POST EXCLUDE ANY OTHER FACTORS WHICH DECREASES THE SPEED.

Here's why:

The ISPs uses different unit from what your program will use, and the ISPs uses Mbps, which is Megabit per second. According to Google, 8 Megabit = 1 Megabyte a.k.a MB which is used for size. That also means 8 Mbps = 1 MBps (Megabyte per second). MBps are widely used by most programs for downloading (thought I did see a few programs using Mbps instead) including your browsers (for sure), Steam and many more.

So how do you know what speed will you actually get from a broadband package? Simply divide the described download/upload speed by 8 (Broadband speed / 8) and you will get how much speed you will get when you download things from servers.

I hope this will be useful...

Any good wired/wireless broadband in my area?

I live in Sungai Besar, Selangor.

I would like to find some good broadband, either wired or wireless. I am currently using Streamyx 4Mbps right now which the speed have somehow reduced by 50% 2 months ago (I called TM to reset the port and still not working) and my Yes 4G Go dongle will always have 3 lines or under (no matter in my house or even in Mid Valley, I think it's somehow broken.

I am one of the early customers of Yes 4G and the speed exceed the speed of my current Streamyx (at least 1MBps (yes, megabyte)). I quitted using it for 3 years because I spent RM1000++ in a month at the time I am using prepaid and never used those valuepacks. I bought the new Go dongle (since I lose the one I used to have) 1 month ago but no matter what it seems to stuck at 3 lines and somehow constantly drop to 2/1 lines (no matter if I am in my house or at Mid Valley), I never get the same speed which I used to be again, I suspect that YTL did something to the dongle/it is broken.

I still keep my old Zoom but I broke it recently by closing the page RIGHT AFTER I pressed the reset button at the modem page (seems it's stuck at the restarting loop forever like I did to my never-ever-used TM modem). I am currently considering to get the new Zoom modem (I got 5 lines from my old Zoom by the way, can never test the speed since I broke it).

Anyway, I saw that Celcom implemented a 4G box-thingy at the road side a few months ago, like at most >2km from my house, still not sure if they already implemented 4G LTE in my area yet.

The point is, I would like to get the fastest download speed available in the area, since I always download Steam games (PC gaming fellow here), it will be better if it include unlimited quota but more than 10GB will be enough for me to surf Internet and play online games like CS:GO.

Can someone please recommend any ISPs for my requirement? Thanks.

(Well I wonder if Time can construct a dedicated line between them to my not-done-yet new house (not high-rise building) if I buy Time Internet Direct, the price doesn't matter, it's the speed they can give (see technical information, you can order for at most 10Gbps (gigabit, convert to megabyte would be 125MBps if I remember it correctly).)
