Compaq V3000 getting slow hardisk dying CPU or els

Dear Forumer....

Recently my laptop hp compaq v3000 had an overheat problems.......i send it to pc shop to clean the dust and cooling fan......now the heat are gone but my laptop is getting slower.....when i try to copy a files from my laptop to external hardisk it takes about 4 hour (for 5gb files)......it also takes a considerable time to boot.

before this its not like this.....some times it failed to copy it just show "calculating". my guest is the laptop hardisk are dying. but im not sure....whether it cpu dying off, hardisk dying off or other issues......

Please help me Forumers.......
I want to change the hardisk but i want to makes sure it is the problems and not something else......
The laptop has seagate 120gb momentus hardrive. if i want to change it what are the price im looking at? TQ

Hi forumers.

i want to ask this for confirmation is Intel N2920 a dual core or quad core.

becoz when i check with intel it said N2920 is a quad core but some pc shop advertised it as dual core. which one is true?

an one more question what is the "U" behind processor number means? for example N2920U and N2920

Hi forumers......

i hve been offer Asus XMA200 with 2 option of either intel celeron N2920 (2mb cache) or intel celeron N2815 (1mb cache)

price is slightly the same..... does it makes any difference? only use for normal use MS word, powerpoint

any advice, opinion

Hi Forumers,

I wish to buy a new netbook......

and i want an opinion on the best netbook that have spec 13 inch or below, RM1k-2k, weight 1.2kg.

i have narrowed it down to lenovo flex 10 or Asus X200MA-KX044D 11.6-inch both at intel celeron processors......
does this two model okay???/ anyone have an opinion n suggestion????

my primary uses are for normal everyday uses
