BJJ in Nusajaya, Johor

I just moved to Malaysia where I have started a new job based at an international university. I am a purple belt in BJJ with a lot of experience and I'm hoping to be able to train for my brown belt. Unfortunately, I have only found one club in Johor which is a little far and difficult for me to get to on a regular basis plus the focus is more on MMA whereas I prefer gi and no-gi BJJ with little interest in MMA. My other option is to go to Singapore but again getting there on a regular basis could be problematic.

Therefore, I am intending to set up a new BJJ club based in Nusajaya. I already have the verbal go-ahead for a venue, I have some mats on their way to me and a number of interested people. Although I could legitimately charge a reasonable fee for teaching BJJ even as a humble purple belt, that's not really my goal. Right now, I just want training partners so that I can reach my goal of brown and eventually black belt. In return, I am happy to teach committed beginners for nothing or, at most, a nominal fee which will probably be optional. I have previously run a BJJ club in a remote area and I helped several beginners get their blue belts which were formally awarded by own black belt instructor who was based in the UK. Maybe I could do the same for you if you are a newbie and, if you are experienced, I hope I can be a decent advanced training partner. I am planning to set up a kids' BJJ class too.

So... come on guys (and parents)! You really have nothing to lose. If you like training with me, it will cost you virtually nothing and, if you don't, you won't have lost an arm and a leg in the process (although you might get armlocked and leglocked in the process)! Please do email me if you are interested. Thanks.
