JPA Program Pelajar Cemerlang STPM

Hey guys, i heard that there is 1 scholarship, known as Program Pelajar Cemerlang STPM which in under JPA. Is this scholarship still available this year cz i cant find anything regarding this programme at jpa portal.
Do we need to register or its like the bursary program?

Chem Engineering vs Pure Chem/Phys vs Actuarial Sc

Hello guys,

Gt my STPM result last week.. cgpa 4.0 and im from sc stream (phys)

Im in a biggg dillema right now. Im just confusing and lost. I cant make a decision on what course to choose. (Most of my friend already done filling up UPU registration etc)

I like math calculating.. i like phys that will explain the things that happen in universe and i like chemistry too cz all of the reaction is just amazing and wonderful. == im weird.

heres the thing, im planning to take chemical engineering or mayb actuarial science but after dicsuss with my parents im reconsidering everything again.
Their opinion:

Chem eng- Oil and gas field not as good as last time ("oil price") and they think their workplace will be dangerous
Actuarial sc- many exam in order to be a prof actuary
BSc (Phys/Chemistry)- Career path wont be as good as engineering

After discussing with them, i start to worry... im a short girl.. and thin.. "underweight" . Im thinking.. will they disqualified me during the interview session for engineering course due to my physical appearance? lmao

Any suggestion or advice?

btw, I like to deduce thing, and i enjoy series like Sherlock, Scorpion, Limitless, and CSI.. is this forensic sc related or psychology or any othrs???

How to calculate STPM CGPA?

Im taking stpm 14/15.
Ermm.. how to calculate the cgpa?
They just based on the pointer we get or by using the wajaran %?
erm.. if lets say for sej:
sem 1 = 4.0
sem 2 = 3.33
sem 3 = 3.67
so what wil be my final pointer for this subj? jz take the average? or by using the average of wajaran?
and the final total is the average pointer of the 4 subj?

Matriculation 2nd intake (KMJ)

after i enrolled in f6 and learned for about 2 weeks... nw my rayuan for matrik was accepted.. and i get KMJ! JOHOR!!! n im from KEDAH
well.. im thinking whether to go or not..my parents let me decide myself (actually dad dont want i go and mum wished i go ) last time i really wished to enter matric as only 1 year and ppl say it is easy to score 4flat compared to stpm..
but after i entered for f6 for almost 1month.. orientation for 2 week and studied for 2 week.. i fall in love in f6 actually.. ( one of the reason is bcz... we actually no need to wear school uni like othr school.. )

my teachers told us that form6 learn more.. more deeper than matrik.. so 1st year in degree wont suffer so much..

i dont want to do medic in future.. perhaps..i wished to do engineering or acturial sc..

i knw f6 will be really tough.. but im sure that i can work hard for something i aimed for

is it a wise choice if i continue my form6 and decline matric offer??

I decided to continue on sc stream and i choosed physic.. all of my friends are going for bio and its okay. i can meet many new friends from othr school...

im going to take PA, MT, CHEM,PHYS and.. MUET..
what ref book should i buy? which publisher is better? i heard there is no textbook.. am i right? we are still on orientation week ( yes my school is new school, pusat ting6 mod 1, where we no need to wear uniform like in college and we have 2 weeks of orientation ) and we will choose our packej tmr.

and must i go for tuition for f6? i heard some senior said that going for f6 ttn is a MUST
any good ttn places in Kulim or BM area?

should i appeal for matriculation?

i didnt get matriculation! should i appeal? or just go for form6?
if my appeal get accepted but then i want to stay for form 6.. can?
i get 10A's in spm, co-cum pointer 7.8 and most important........ im non-bumi

Pro & Cons of STPM

STPM is now new modular system.. and i heard from some ppl saying that its very tough as stpm syllabus is deeper and tougher so you need to "swallow" many chap in 1 sem? is it true? and anythning former STPM student here?
can any1 list the pro and cons of stpm for me? (in details if possible)
or i shouldn't choose stpm and go for matrik (if im lucky enuf to get matrik)

STPM or Matriculation

im waiting for matriculation letter offer now. but still, i didnt decide to go for matriculation or stpm yet. which 1 is better? i had read up many post and blog on this topic but im still "blurr" and cant make up my mind. i plan to go for local U as my family has some financial problem and i didnt really sure of what career i want to pursue in future.
im also in the dilemma about which subj to choose. Study biology better or physic? 1 thing im sure of is i dont want to be doctor pharmacy is still okay. since in dont want in medical line, is it study physic is a better choice for me?

p/s: i get 8A+ 2A in my spm
