Costs for mixed rice business

Can anyone out there tell me the estimated costs to rent a premis in office tower in PJ to start up a mixed rice business & sell drinks, while other stalls are being rent out?

No more intake for teaching in govt Uni?

Hi there, I heard that the recent intake for teaching staff in govt Uni is the last one for RMK-9 (Rancangan Malaysia Ke-9). Does it mean that if I would like to apply next year after finishing my Masters study it is then IMPOSSIBLE??

Does it also mean that I have to wait another 5 years for new RMK-10??

Hope Azarimy can give idea opinion on this.

Well let me begin the story like this;

I started working in a market research firm, the first piece of job upon my graduation but I wasn't long there. I was there only 6 months due to the low pay. At the same time my friend recommend me a job in a bank so I took it. Unfortunately the higher pay comes with a hefty price. I'm unable to cope with the job volume and in the end screw myself up & didn't get the confirmation either. I was there for the second peice of job for 7 months.

Then later I decide to pursue my Masters, and now finally after 1 year I came and work as a lecturer in a private college. This time I really put 120% into everything I do. I give my students the best of service & I try to help them where ever is possible even permitting them to call me at odd hours like 230am in the morning.

However my college staffs turnover rate is pretty high as the COMPLAINT rate is high & guess what?? I myself just receive a complaint lately!!!! I love my current job and if can I want to retain it, however there is lot of circumstances which is outside my control.......I don't want to be asked to quit my job as I just work for 4 months.....

Shall I'm force to leave then I'm really a job hopper & it's difficult for me to write in resume for job application. However this time is REALLY not my fault unlike 1st & 2nd job!!!

Can anyone advice how to stay long in a job??

4 MAIN THINGS A LECTURER MUSN'T DO

Dear all, just a short and simple survey....given the 4 criteria as below

a) Lecturers where nobody understand what the heck is he/she teaching
b) Lecturers who teach too fast
c) Lecturers who has no sense of joke/ poor at cracking joke
d) Lecturers who can't asnwer "why" questions from student

Pls rank which criteria u hate the most as first!!! And followed by second.......

Can give 100% though you hate the job?

Can you give 100% commitment to the job you are currently holding even though you hate it?? I knew some people really can.

It happened due to reasons like the job scope is not as what you expected, the boss is finding your fault, environment is not condusive, extreme stress, stupid tight deadlines and many more.....

Hi everyone, it's been quite some time since I left this forum....but now I'm back for good....

Anyway I got some queries to clear....you see I have a friend of mine who gave me mix signals....she is pretty and hot, and she has a boyfriend.

The thing is that she treats me like her boyfriend even when in the cinema and yesterday just after a movie (2 of us only) she insist me to hold her hand...and she started it first by holding mine several times but I didn't take any action. In the end after 4 times she hold my hand, I also hold hers.....actually I already have some feelings for her in the first place though I knew that she has a boyfriend.

Serious, and there are many other things that can support this, but I still don't get it. Especially when she told me that she will never go for an outing like watching movies 1 on 1 with a guy, but I was exempted from that. Even in the movie we share drinks and popcorns.....she did however told me before that if not because of her current BF, she would already with me together somewhere Jan tis year thru msn.....

But now the thing is she want me to spanar over or what???? Pls advice me.

Gettting Ph.D into corporate sector

I am going to finish my Master of Economics soon and I'm thinking of proceeding into Ph.D level but I don't have the intention to become a lecturer at the moment. I just want to have a title for myself and bring it into the corporate world in the financial and economics area. Which means study and working at the same time.

Last 2 weeks I went to an interview at the investment banking and they told me that 70% of the people there have Masters. Some even double Masters, so it has become an obsolete commodity nowadays. They even told me that slowly, it evolved and now they are looking for the first Ph.D to come in to that Department.

Does anyone out here got any idea about the prospect of being a Ph.D at the corporate level? My lecturer told me that Ph.D with experience in corporate level is highly sought after in future.
