Loud bang sound after speed bump

Guys, I need specialist advise from Kopitiamers because I and my mechanic has been clueless on what had happened to this first gen Myvi.

This clunking (quite loud) sound occurred only when vehicle was more than 20 kmph over tall and sharp speed bump. This sound only happens one time after speed bump. Not during road driving time.

Well after a few items changed, with a thorough alignment and balancing, adjusting camber screw some more, my driving experience is really good on the road.
However, the nightmare happens (its still there) when I am crossing this particular speed bump on the road on the video.

As you can see on the first bump was quite flat, however over the second bump, the clunking sound only happened once after each speed bumps.

List of items already changed to new, but the sound still appear.
1. All four absorbers, front and back
2. front absorber mounting, both sides
3. front lower arms, both sides
4. Stabiliser Link both sides
5. Stabiliser bushing, both side.

Where does the sound comes from?

Right now, the only way is to slow my vehicle to 15kmph so that the clunking sound is not made.

Midnight Burger

I went to this stall. It is my favorite stall when I am in Pontian.
This burger stall operates by a couple and their son is also helping parents in preparing the easy stuffs. Good son!

The burger is tasty. The bun itself is thin as it is compressed and pan heated with margarine during food preparation, but who cares.

When I told the burger and eat it, you cant hold it properly because the patty and filling is bigger than the bun. This is what I not really like but I think this is not a problem at all.

The toppings are what I like the most. The toppings are sautéed onions with their special sauce. I can taste sweet, sour and savory in each bite. Good.

I had a few Pontian otak-otak too.

Help advise on TM line copper phased out already?

Dear kopitard,

My relatives back in home town in Kelantan could not call my mum because my kampung house TM telefon line kena potong since last week.

My mum told me that TM asked my mum to change the phone number TM account because copper line already phased out in Malaysia. Everyone will have to use Fibre, so TM recommended my mum to use Fibre that comes with Internet unifi, therefore need to terminate the old account number and create a new account number under unifi.

Currently the TM account is phone line with streamyx, but memang my mum hardly use Internet since it was for me last time when I was still in hometown but since I came kl I still continued with streamyx since its linked with house phone number.

And I think the phone number itself is important because a lot older (near and far far away including from Indonesia) relatives still uses land line to call despite my mum has a mobile phone.

Can help to advise what should be done?
I don't want unifi to be honest because no one is using it...
But I think it's ridiculous TM staff told my mum copper is phased out.

What is Binance P2P?
Binance P2P is a place for you to buy and sell BTC (The gold of cryptocurrency), Ether, BNB(the Binance Coin), and others Stablecoin (USDT, BUSD and DAI). All transaction fee are free of charge, Binance didn't take any commission and you do not pay commission to the seller when you buy any coins via P2P.

The best thing is you can buy using RM. Which is good and convenient.

Is Binance P2P safe?
As with all investments, there is also a risk when buying and selling cryptocurrency. While Binance provides Support on its P2P platform, both buyer and seller will go through its Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process.

When you buy any coins, the coins from the seller will get locked by the P2P. And the seller will not able to cash-out the locked funds. So you don't need to worry.

I am making first transaction. So how to buy?

Well, it is a simple as A-B-C. There are 3 steps required. Note that, the buyer will have to make payment to Seller preferred method manually. There is no automatic system or automatic deduction. Do not get confused with online shopping apps such as Ladaza and Shoppii.

Step 1: Key in amounted correctly and Click Buy

Step 2: Do the fund transfer manually.
(let say Bank transfer, you have to open your banking website and transfer the amount stated correctly to the seller's account)
NOTE: You must use Instant Bank Fund Transfer (IBFT), else your fund will not be released by the seller until he receive the amount in his Bank!

As of me, I am sharing one experience where this I couldn't reach an agreement with the buyer.

The buyer clicked Buy on one of my posting ads, and clicked Transfer...Next, without transferring the actual fund into stated bank account.
(This is a no-no).

I managed to call the person for the first time to ask if he have transferred. He said will do. After waiting for 1.5 hours, I still didn't receive any transaction payment from the buyer. Now when I try to call, Phone calls got declined for 7 times. He asked me via messaging app that he will do so after getting a new phone because he cannot install 'binance' app into his phone. So, I have opted to file an appeal with CS, as this is my first time having this issue for over 100+ transactions.

I hope this thread will help all genuine sellers on p2p network to share ideas on how to deal with the buyer.

Defi staking in Binance

I staked around some DAI on DEFI staking. I chose flexible staking as it is on daily rest. However I realized 3 days ago there are no interest went to Spot.
Out of curiosity, I checked my Defi staking portfolio, DAI cant be redeemed. And of course the flexible staking is now not available.

Anyone stake in Binance before, can share your experience?

I only choose flexible staking. But I knew the 7-day staking also having the same issue.

While Defi staking offering higher returns, but the bigger appetite we have we shall get into some risk (very risky!) and understand it well.

Rules on Defi Staking:
Rule 1: Always be prepare to lose some amount or all amount of your stake if the smart contract got breached or hacked.
Rule 2: Need to level up your risk management in performing defi staking. You must be have high tolerance on the risk you can handle.
Rule 3: Although you are staking on binance, it has a risk disclaimer on the losses that may incurred if something is wrong such as a void in contract or rug pull, the worst ever thing as so to say.

Tax relief on endowment plan

Can we claim tax relief for BE Form for endowment plan (saving + TPD + Death). This is underwritten by PB Bank and AIA. The promoter confidently told me it is possible and can claim the total amount you paid every month (if pay 500/month, means 500 x 12 = RM 6,000 possible for deductible). Therefore I've signed up the plan on the spot.

(p.s. i know the limit on Life Insurance is RM3000) so can claim up to 3k only.

However, to get confirmation from dear infomative Ktard. Discuss abit shall we?

Is it accurate to say, fully claimable? If fully claimable means after 20 years all saving gone jor kena makan... I think

ETH2.0 Staking in Binance

There is one section in Binance Earn where you can stake ETH 2.0 to get rewards. There are pros and cons.

I think the Pros are:
- Tokenized BETH with ratio of 1:1 will be given.
- Rewards will be given in BETH in Spot accounts.
- BETH can be traded with a few pairs (BETH/ETH, etc)

Cons:
- Cannot unstake before Phase 1 is completed. (Means up to 2 years or more)
- More ETH stake means lower APY (not really the cons but for those who is staking then most probably they will feel the reduction)

However one thing that made me feel weird is the current value of BETH/ETH is around 0.9. Technically I can buy cheaper BETH with ETH right?

KUALA LUMPUR: A 74-year-old retiree lost more than a million ringgit of her savings after falling victim to a Macau scam syndicate.

The elderly woman received a call on Sept 25 last year, purportedly from Pos Malaysia headquarters saying that they were holding a package containing an Identification Card (IC), a cheque book, and three bank cards under her name.

The call was then transferred to a man who introduced himself as Sergeant Fairul from the Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters. He told the victim that she was involved in a money laundering case and was under investigation.

The call was again transferred to another "policeman" named Si Wan, who threatened the victim by saying that she would be arrested and remanded if she refused to cooperate throughout "their investigations".

"Frightened, the victim obeyed all orders by the scammers and gave away her bank account information to Si Wan, and transferred RM833,000 from her Tabung Haji account into her Maybank account," Petaling Jaya District police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said in a statement.

He added that on Oct 5, 2020, Si Wan asked the woman to hand over her Maybank card, which he claimed was needed to withdraw the money for auditing purposes in the money laundering case she was supposedly under investigation for.

Nik Ezanee said on Oct 6, 2020, following Si Wan's instructions over the phone, the victim went to the Atria Shopping Mall and placed her Maybank card on top of a letterbox as instructed.

"On Oct 28, 2020, the victim conducted several transactions by transferring RM75,000 from her CIMB Bank account into her Maybank account, and four more transactions occurred as she transferred another RM84,500 into her Maybank account," he said.

Nik Ezanee added that the elderly victim had incurred losses estimated at about RM1,007,673.33 due to the syndicate which often targets the elderly who lack knowledge of cybercrime. - BERNAMA

Kuih Tradisional Kelate Akok

I craved for akok while chatting with my friends just now. My mind was full with akoks. So, I popped into a stall nearby her home. I offered her some akok but she was full already due to heavy nasi berlauk she had this morning.

This is the nicest akok I had this year. When compared to akok in USJ1 and Kampung Baru, this is just delicious. The kuih is so soft and tangy.

RM3 for 5 akoks.

While back home, today's trafiic was so congested. Maybe Kota Bharu don't have PKP that's why all people is still here.

However, I bumped into a few road sellers as usual, they have jeruk buah, nasi ayam, fried stuff, vegetables, oranges, apples, buah salaks , aneka kuih, fruit juices and etc. However, I saw one guy begging for money by folding both hands to the cars, I think this act should not be practiced/makruh. You can just sell something out of it like tissue paper for RM1. This is considered as Sumber pendapatan yang Halal.

And now the road seller are lowering their prices by giving half of the amount of the food. RM5 for chicken fingers, hotdogs, nasi berlauk are available now.

Definition of engineer in Malaysia

I am an electrical engineer. Also a technician.
My official job description is design engineer in a mnc.
However, I think this is just a title so that I will be paid according to the salary benchmark, which is much lower than service engineer and commissioning engineer.

Because I am one of the example, I am design engineer in office for a project. When FAT is completed, I will do erection work at customer site. This is when I will become site engineer. Coordinating resources is important at site. When the election work completed, I will commission the system that I have designed and tested in office, again at customer site. All this by my own. I think this is a good learning opportunity, but now I am in comfort zone (quite) because I have familiar with various processes. The only think that is not in comfort zone is the different customer.

In other topic, I read about design engineer is just doing copy pasting design works from senior, this is partly true. Because electrical fundamental is important and it has become a standard, in TNB, SEB, SESB and even NUR Power.

When a Purchase Order arrived, we will perform design work and deliver the result as per customer requirements.

However, as a design engineer, I also do system retrofit and design enhancement work. This is the most challenging and ultimate of a design engineer work, because he need to understand existing installations, design the new system and make sure it works correctly.

I think design engineer work in electrical engineering in Malaysia is not defined properly.

Nyonya Cendol and Popiah

The weather in Melaka is very hot. And I cannot imagine the traffic condition over here too as I lazy to drive out for snack. I ordered my favorite nyonya cuisine from my finger tips. Food Panda has more variety and local delicacies as compared to Grab Food in Melaka. However, I realised the delivery fees in Food Panda is much higher.

I ordered the one spicy popiah, one nyonya chang and one famous nyonya cendol.

The Food Panda rider is very friendly. He even suggested me the most picked food in Baba Charlie, which is kuih Onde-onde and Koci. I will try it tomorrow.

The cendol was so refreshing, when I sipped in a mouthful of cendol. Well, congratulations by all sudden I got a brain freeze.

The popiah is nicely wrapped and filled with vegetables. It was flavourful. However, I wish the popiah can be more wet as I wanted more gravy from the vegetables within the wrapping .

About the chang, its in my tummy already

Cheese Naan and Ayam Tandoori

Today is just another day for me. I must find a good place for dinner to satisfy my tummy before I'm going to sleep. I came to this restaurant for it's famous Naan.

I got a parking easily, sheer luck perhaps. The scene next was shocking (terkejut) - because the restaurant is still crowded. Well, in my heart I can say the naan must be really good.

People are observing the face mask rule. About the crowd.... hmmmm... By the way I still kudos to everyone that attended to the restaurant because they were wearing a mask. However, the naan preparer have to get a re-eductional class because he was wearing mask incorrectly. Not sure why.

Parents with kids and babies and their grandparents were around and enjoying their meal happily. I decided to take away the meal. I ordered one piece of Cheese Naan and one Ayam Tandoori. After waiting time of 20 minutes, I got my food, paid the meal and chao.

The cheese naan is a little plain. However, it was soft and tangy. How I eat it? First, add some curry gravy on the naan, then tear some tandoori on it with some sliced onions, then remember to drizzle some green sambal that came with the tandoor.

Then apa lagi? Makanlah.

I met with accident during work.

I moved a table and the table collapsed and split into pieces of wood.

My Right Fifth finger got injured and doctor have to remove my nail.

What is the procedure can be done on the work injury reporting To relevant parties and the usual claims?

I have CIDB, NTSP and company insurance and paying socso.

Please enlighten ya.

So far my treatment:
Nail removal on first day of accident
Wound cleaning on Second day
Wound checking and cleaning on fifth day which is tomorrow.

Hello peeps! There is a saying, once you eat it you won’t forget it. Well I didn’t forget the taste, it tasted very similar with the other burger I had - Foldover.
This is the McDonald’s Spicy Chicken Korean Burger!

This is a premium burger; therefore, it came with a premium price. For a whopping RM16.00, you get the Medium Set Combo, that comprises the burger itself – Spicy Korean Burger, one cup of Frozen Cola-Cola & Fanta (used to known as McFreeze) and medium Fries.

The bun is black in colour, charcoal bun is the name, however it is edible, and I can say the bun is soft as compared to McChicken’s bun. However, I think the softest bun in McDonald’s is still the is Fillet’o Fish’s bun.

The taste of the Spicy Korean Burger is again weird sourish with hot and spicy taste. And again, I never know that Korean sauce has the sourish as the 'main' taste? I though is hot and spicy came first... I think it is just like the sauce for Foldover, which ended last week. I used the self-service kiosk to choose the menu and pay at the kiosk on the spot. This is not my first time, so it is pretty easy for me, I don’t need to stand to wait for the order number since I am dining in the restaurant. And it is very convenient as McDonald’s also provided the table number for dine-in customers like me. Just that you must key in the table number before the last step, payment.

McDonald's Chicken Foldover

It's back. It has two grilled chicken patties with a combination of crispy lettuce, juicy tomato slices, onions and new sauce. All these were wrapped in pita bread and folded. Easy to hold and eat.

Happy Ramadan to all /k who is celebrating this holy month.

The price is not cheap, you will be slapped with RM16.95 price tag. But this will make you full and satisfied. I couldn't take the fries anymore so I just packed it home.

The sauce is weird because I can feel sourish and tingling sensation on my tongue. It is a bit hot and spicy.
