Questions regarding Certificate of Good Conduct

Good day

I am applying to study overseas this year and the student visa requires Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC).

I already applied and gotten one back in 2018, so I am familiar with the process.

However, I have accumulated some summons/ saman from PDRM back in 2023 for example using mobile while driving which I was required to pay the fine in court (first time). Other than that nothing which requires a court appearance.

Want to know if this will show up during the vetting and ultimately fail my application?

Applying for Study Visa with Criminal Record?

Just got saman for using mobile phone while driving (Really really dumb move). Already stressed out to settle the matter in April in court.
Planning to study overseas in the next 2 years, possibly UK.

Question: will this offence be in registered in my criminal record? I undertstand if it does; it'll hamper down on the visa application but also my study prospects overseas.

50 Year Old Mother Might Lose Job

Hey everyone!

No way of making it sound light, but my mom just announced that she might lose her job in the next coming month.

She's a purchaser for the company and has actually worked with them for over 15 years. They are going through retrenchment due to Covid-19 and has already let go a sizeable amount of employees these past few months (even those with a degree/ in executive positions). She's the breadwinner of the family and only holds a SPM certificate, we are super lucky that she gets to hold a relatively good position that pays well despite her education background. Plus and she won't admit it, she's a very good and honest employee.

Evidently I am upset, as the eldest of the family, I must step up to the plate. I just graduated a few months back and through sheer luck, started a job in a government hospital in KL, which has an okay pay for a freshie.

I think my parents are not ready to discuss about this, but I am ready to support paying things fully if need be. Now, I can actually afford to cover some of my family's expenses, but it might still be not enough to completely replace my mom's salary. My other siblings have just started university, so that's something I need to navigate with them too. We probably will need to cut down on our expenses on a few things.

Personally I would be fine if my mom doesn't work at all, though being a workaholic, I think she still wants to work before 65 or so haha. Of course I have to selfishly admit, that would mean some of my plans would be delayed a bit (getting a house etc)

As of now, I am searching online to help my mom find a job if she is really let go. But I am not sure about and honestly quite bleak about the job market for someone of her background, especially for her age.

How should I proceed with this?
a) What positions/ field can we apply? I was searching for jobs in admin positions in small companies/ kindergartens/ bookstores etc
b) Would it be viable for her to work a part-time job and rest for the other days? She's actually keen with this idea.

Mending a teacher's heart

Hi all
So my teacher got robbed when she was in driving seat in her car. Apparently, a man smashed her car window while she was in the car trying to grab her handbag. The information I got is a bit blurry but long story short we called her to check up on her and she sounded a lil bit shakey with long intervals between her replies. The shock was too great for her I suppose. Being a oversensitive person as I am, I wanna make her feel better... She couldn't sleep and wanted to get the whole thing off of her mind.

I was robbed once as well a few years back and had a beating from the robbers. I was wondering would it be too much if I share my experience with her? I don't wanna keep reminding her of the incident but I thought it would cheer her up a bit. And i'm afraid that she would feel awkward when a student she only knew for 1 month trying to sooth her troubles. Haha

So what do you guys think? Would it be too much? Should I just not butt in and let her deal with her own problem? Thank you
Sorry got no other place to post.

My politically biased teacher. How to be not

Heyyya, I'm in Form 6 this year and my P.A teacher till this day in all of her classes, will always tell us about how the opposition is the bad guy and bla bla bla.
For example, today she told us about how wrong people are about corruption in our police force and the actual people who are corrupted are from the opposition party and etc.

I would call myself a fence sitter if people ask me maybe a lil sided with the opposition. I do not care which party she votes for, but the problem now is that I'm afraid that I'll dislike her class just because of her opinions on politics. I feel uncomfortable for some reason when she talks about these things and she always have a smirk on her face.

However, she's a good teacher and knows her subject well. I don't wanna dread sitting in her class.

So, how do I prevent myself from being feeling uncomfortable by her opinions? Maybe I'm too sensitive? Thanks
This happened today and my mom is angry and i'm just curios on who and why would someone in my flat would do this to us. This only happened at an other time last year so i'm thinking it maybe the same neighbours who did this. My family and I didn't do anything wrong to no one in my flat, we don't even interact with our neighbours a lot. So i'm posting here in LYN for guidance and opinions on my current situation thanks a lot.

Should STPM students be dependent on their

Hiya, do STPM students depend a lot on their teachers? Should they? Because most if not all the teachers keep telling us that teachers are only there to GUIDE students Only and so most of the effort must be done by the students themselves. I'm somewhat biased when teachers say this because it's like their blaming their incompetence on the students, haha I know I shouldn't but.... Would like some opinions on this as I'm starting my Form 6 studies real soon.
I suck being as a leader, need help?

So today is orientation week for form 6 in my school. Today's activity was "ice breaking", the facilitators( counselors of the school) needed a leader among us students. One of the counselors randomly selected a student and ask her to select a leader. The student was looking at me, I was scared and there it was.... She picked me! God Almighty i'm was scared and uncomfortable. We didn't know each other so I didn't know why she picked me lol.
Anyway, long story short there were lots of activities and me being the leader, I pressured myself to do a great job being one. And the result was awkwardness. When I try to lead them, NONE of them followed me and there was a lot of awkward moments where I was left hanging...
After a looong exhausting day, back at home I cried and kept wondering why was I picked and talked with my mom.
I suck being a leader and worst an awkward leader at that.... I can be a great follower but a great leader I'm not...
I just want some opinions on my current situation. Thanks

Stpm going to be at same par as Matriculation?

Currently stressing about the fact that our matriculation is going to be recognized in most overseas country as stated in this article. http://www.newsarawaktribune.com/news/5859/Local-matriculation-recognised-by-17-renowned-overseas-universities/

Now I'm well aware of the fact that matriculation is recognized in SOME universities in the UK and some in other countries before. But I would never have dreamed of the day that it will be renowned WORLDWIDE.

LOL, not to to be a butthurt but really? Someday STPM graduates is gonna compete with matriculation graduates for overseas seats? Isn't it enough that they have to compete locally and usually with STPM graduates losing?

I know I'm whining but so what? Haha.
I would like some opinions on this matter. Thanks for reading
