Saudi Military Almost Entirely Staffed by Foreign Mercenaries

The Saudi military is almost entirely staffed by mercenaries. The Saudi jets bombing an air defenseless Yemen are piloted by Pakistanis. Its mid and low level officers are mainly from Jordan and most ominously for its ability to actually launch a ground invasion, its rank and file soldiers are almost entirely from Yemen.

That’s right, the Saudi army is packed full of Yemeni cannon fodder, which helps explains its ignominious failure in its war with Yemen’s Houthi’s in 2009.

Does anyone really believe that the Yemeni soldiers for hire in the Saudi army are going to willingly, never mind effectively, invade their own country, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake all the while killing, and being killed by, their Yemeni brothers and sisters?

This may explain the reluctance of the Saudi leadership to launch their promised invasion, especially while the Houthi militia’s are still an effective fighting force on the ground.

Supposedly Egypt is going to send its army to help invade Yemen, never mind Yemen being the graveyard for thousands of Egyptian soldiers in what the late President Nasser called Egypt’s Vietnam in the early-mid
1960’s.

The Egyptian army is made up of mostly illiterate conscripts dragooned from the poorest sectors of Egyptian society and has been particularly inept at suppressing the vicious insurgency being waged again
President Al Sisi’s regime in the Sinai. If the Egyptian army cant even control its own territory it certainly doesn’t bode well for any foreign misadventures it may undertake.

Of course it takes time to prepare the logistics needed to send a large fighting force to invade another country so Egyptian boots on the ground in Yemen may yet happen, but don’t hold your breath.

If Yemeni artillery and rockets start blasting shipping of the “Saudi led coalition”, a demand being expressed by massive Yemeni demonstrations, Egypt wont have much choice. The “Bab al Mandeb” (so aptly named “the gate of tears”) is so narrow that all shipping traveling through this strategic choke point between the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea have to pass well within range of even light artillery. President Al Sisi has already raised the alarm of the danger if such a disaster should strike, though preventing such is easier said than done.

And all the while starvation spreads through out Yemen, a country already one of the hungriest in the world. Yemen is one of the most food aid dependent countries on the planet importing by some accounts up to 90% of its food.

The Saudi leadership must figure if they can’t defeat the Yemeni resistance with their airpower they will cut off all food supplies and wait for starvation to bring Yemen to its knees?

To help hurry this process up Saudi war planes have already begun bombing major grain depots in Yemen, as all the while the “Saudi led coalition” has prevented all but the equivalent of a couple of truck loads of supplies flown in by the Red Cross. A couple of truck loads to feed a food aid dependent country of almost 25 million in the midst of a barbaric air bombardment?

As the Saudi air force continues to terrorize the Yemeni population with bombs marked “made in the USA” and malnutrition turns to outright starvation the immediate future for the people of Yemen grows darker by the day.

One thing is certain and that is our world operates under “the rule of law”, the law of the jungle that is, and any crime, including imposing mass starvation will only be met with acquiescence, if not assistance, as Saudi Arabia’s mercenary army continues its aerial onslaught and enforced starvation against the people of Yemen.

10mbps Internet Only Plan only RM70(IDR250k)

So will Malaysian telcos reduce 10mbps plan pricing below RM70 since MCMC claims we have wider penetration of coverage than Indonesian fibre internet market?

Construction Begins on New Telin SEA-US Cable

The consortium behind the Southeast Asia – United States (SEA-US) subsea cable have commenced the construction phase for the project.

The $250 million cable is being built by system suppliers NEC and NEC of America. Construction is expected to be competed in the fourth quarter of next year.

Once complete, SEA-US will be the first subsea cable system directly linking Indonesia with the US.

The 15,000km cable will connect to Manado in Indonesia, Davao in Southern Philippines, Piti in Guam, Honolulu in Hawaii and Los Angeles on the continental US.

Built with a design capacity of 100Gbps, the cable has been designed to bypass earthquake-prone areas in East Asia and provide more diversity in the range of connectivity to transpacific networks.

The SEA-US consortium consists of Indonesia's Telin, the Philippines' Globe Telecom and affiliate GTI Corporation, RAM Telecom International, Hawaiian Telecom and Telkom USA.

Syarif Syarial Ahmad, President Director of Telin, stated that the project “is significant as it is one of the biggest milestones for Indonesia’s rapid growth in communications.”

He said that providing a direct route to the US, where most of Indonesia's internet traffic is sourced, will help the operator meet growing traffic demands.

Royally Superlitively UPSET On 10th April, I guided mama for dinner after the office and proceeded through Nee Ann City. Mama's friend who was with us, pointed out a beautiful dress at Zara. Upon mama's instructions, I guided her towards the clothing store.

A man at the entrance of the store prevented us from walking any further he was rather hostile and insisted even after mama explained that she is blind and needed a guide dog. He actually got more agitated and aggressive hurling abuses at mama and I. This guide dog actually heard with her own two ears this man screamed threateningly a word that mama later explained to me meant " threatening another with one's pee pee tail "

He refused any explanations and insisted "no animals". Mama explained that I was no ordinary animal but her eyes and allowed into public places. However he got more aggressive with gesturing, tonality and language. Mama requested that I take her into the store to speak to the manager at this point in time.

A lady claiming to be the store manager confirmed that guide dogs were not allowed and that they were calling the police. Mama and I remain standing and waiting for the arrival of the police

Another man came up, identifying himself as a police, asked us to step outside the store and wait for the police. There was some confusion here and we later understood that he was an off-duty officer.

The real police eventually arrived as well as the security management of the shopping mall. Both the security manager and police in uniform confirmed that guide dogs are allowed in Nee Ann City and public places. The investigating police officer then advised mama to take the matter up with Zara's management as well as the magistrate court.

After that, I guarded mama to the police station near our home and lodged a police report. We did not get home till over 1 AM.

Whilst it is surely the prerogative of Zara to choose their customers, it is absolutely uncalled for to threaten one's customers with your security guards pee-pee tail in public!

DOCSIS 3.0 wouldn't be ideal for multi-gigabit Internet connections, but it can provide "around a gigabit" cost-effectively, Schmitt said.

"If you want to go by pure technical capability, you could go to very high speeds with DOCSIS 3.0," he said. "What we think 3.1 brings to the table is a more cost-effective way of getting there."

Current DOCSIS 3.0 deployments in many parts of the world only bonds upto 8 channels with the exception of a very few that bonds upto 16 channels.

Malaysia ABNxcess uses an outdated tech which is DOCSIS 2.0 that hardly can even support 40mbps.

DOCSIS 3.0 and above allows multi channel bonding that allows gigabit speeds if needed.

This is CES 2015 where a demo of DOCSIS 3.1 products were shown. Consistent speeds of 4gbps+ were shown.

The method is called "Canvas Fingerprinting" which is actually a feature that came starting from HTML5 subset.

How it works? You see your browser sends very unique info such as your OS type, plugins, your screen resolution on monitors, browser type, and etc. in your user header to the server when you register, visit or login to your account.

When you combine a few of this info and hash them, you get a UNIQUE cookie that follows you everywhere you go on the web as long as the API is used in your site.
One example is Google Analytics.

This info cannot be changed or modified easily because even if a dupe clear his cookies and super cookies before logging in with another account, his screen resolution, OS type, browser and may other fixed attributes is still PERMANENT.

So if you log into Lowyat with Google Analytics and it generates say a hex code: 123ABCx

You go to another website using Google Analytics with your history/cache cleared, your hex code identifier unique to you will still be 123ABCx.

Worst if you logged into your real Facebook account with real name before with that same hash code, you're BUSTED.

FB and Google shares this info around with their partners even governments to TRACK you down everywhere.

You can't run from this unless you have enough knowledge to alter your browser's user header and manipulate the information you send out all the time.

A New Addition to The Lees - Is A Mao???

There was a "mysterious girl" who appeared during Lee Kuan Yew's funeral.

As you know, funerals are reserved for close family and friends and this lady named "Mao Ting" stood close to the Lees during the 7 days of proceedings. Who is she and how is she related to the Lee family?

After doing some homework, it appears that Mao Ting is in a romantic relationship with Li Haoyi, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's son.

It also seems that they met while Li Haoyi was studying in Cambridge.

Guess the top question on everyone's mind now would be, "is Mao Ting a Singaporean?" If she is not Singaporean, is she from the PRC?

Back then Celcom, Maxis and uMobile all sold UNLIMITED plans. Back then we only had HSDPA with a max speed of 3.6mbps.

Today its 2015 and we already had 4G LTE with gigabit speed metro ethernet backhaul links to base stations.
That's more than 100X faster than the technology used back then.

4G LTE can go upto 150mbps max
3.9G DC-HSPA can now support upto 42mbps
Single channel HSPA can do 21mbps

Why are our local telcos still complaining that UNLIMITED plans are not possible because they take up too much bandwidth and hog resources?
Easily UNLIMITED 7.2mbps HSPA or even 11mbps HSPA hardly would hardly even saturate their modern 4G IMS networks today.
