Playing avi clip on a dvd player with hdmi output

Dear masters

Okay I recently bought a full hd Sony Bravia lcd and a Sony dvd player with hdmi output. I saved a normal quality video clip from youtube and plugged into the usb drive of the dvd player using my thumbdrive. Unfortunately, I didn't see any picture but there was sound. Then, I converted the clip into divx format and I got vice versa. However, the HD clip works completely fine.

Any thoughts ?

Anyone here knows this album ?

I recently got attached to this woman and in the course of the courtship, we've been only going out on night dates. For every outing, we are always looking forward to see each other again cos we enjoy each other's company so much. Hence, we're planning to take a day off so we could spend more time doing things together i.e. catch a movie, coffee date etc. But I'm running out of ideas how to spend the rest of the afternoon !!

Any suggestions ???

Learning Saxaphone

To all musicians,jazz lovers bossa novas and saxophonists, I'm deciding to take up another instrument after many years of playing the piano. No I'm not an accomplished pianist but stopped at grade 7. Well you can say I'm pretty familiar with the keys & terms but definitely not a concert pianist. Cut the crap anyway, I'm not so sure if the skills are transferable to the Sax. Any suggestions ? I heard Yamaha is opening another centre at the Curve, right besides Lexus.

There are talks and rumours circling around that Bioware/Obsidian is developing the 2nd sequel to the blow-me-off-my-seat RPG game of the year. I played the 1st installment and loved it ! It's the best RPG I've ever layed my hands on after Baldur's Gate ! As for this, Bastila Shan and Revan's story lines will be picked up from the 1st game and anyways, you guys can check out gamebanshee for more updates.

Anybody here knows what's the working culture like at CIMB after the integration with BCB and Southern Bank ? I'm joining their Investment Banking arm straight from university without any prior experience or internship.
