Anyone with Fast net speeds?

I'm on holiday in Penang now. I keep getting 60.48.x ip.. then suddenly, TM will just "upgrade" me to their eleet 218.111.x ip address.

From there, I can download 120KB/s and upload 40KB/s at the same time. Peak speeds are about 150-170KB/s download.

I'm so impressed with the speeds now. I'm using Peer Guardian and BitComet with encryption.

Worked for me in KL too.

How much Download/day TODAY?

Just a little survey on your download pattern. Try to use an average figure, if you're unsure and please don't skew the survey by bragging fake numbers for the amount you download. Please include TOTAL transferred (total UP and DOWN). A good program to gauge is DU Meter (dumeter.com)

My past 5 days on a 1mbit / RM 88 connection fully utilised has been:

9.4GB, 8.3GB, 8.1GB, 8.2GB AND 7.8GB TOTAL... so I'll be voting 6-10GB range.

*tip: if you don't use P2P, its very likely that you use 0-3GB a day.

I was just talking to prasys on InsanelyMac about Rapidshare.

Their download limit is very interesting.

I think this is awesome. So a little suggestion to TM Nut. Cap everyone at 4 mbit. Sell your bandwidth like its supposed to: by data transfers.

500 MB / day - RM 44
1000 MB / day - RM 66
2000 MB / day - RM 88
5000 MB / day - RM 128
10000 MB / day - RM 188

All data accounts can accumulate to up to 20,000 MB download. If you run out of data credit, software throttle us to 128 kbit. Fair play for everyone, right? And please, don't throttle anything! We pay for the bandwidth, if you think we're doing something illegal, press charges! Don't just act like a girl and discreetly throttle us.

Heavy downloaders like myself will like the upper two plans. People who online 24/7 but just to check e-mail and webcam on Skype / MSN will like the rm 44 / 66 plan.
