This is the upgraded version of the Elise which makes it ultra quiet - no sound even with volume turned all the way up. No hum/hiss/buzzes from the amp and/or tubes as well.

A well regarded amplifier as seen in the head-fi.org forums. Drives the high impedance headphones like HD800/6xx series/Beyer T1 very well. Transparent yet with that mid-range tube magic. Will also drive sensitive planars like Audeze LCD2/Oppo PMxx well.

Package includes: Amplifier. No box. This is my relatively new (bought it new late last year) hybrid electrostatic amplifier which was built by Mjolnir Audio out of Iceland. To those in the e-stat world will know this amp was designed by the notorious Kevin Gilmore, he of the Stax Mafia. The builder, going by the name Spritzer, is Kevin's partner and has been designing and building electrostatic amps for more than 10 years. So, yes, he is qualified and technically proficient. My KGST is a high current version, designed to output higher amperage to drive the notoriously inefficient SR-007s (which i am currently using now). This amp brings a full-bodied sound with great transparency, dynamics and bass impact/slam to the 007, which tend to sound thin and lifeless out of the usual Stax amp pairings.

Selling this to finance my step up to the Blue Hawaii tube amplifier a legend in electrostatic amp circles, also built by Mjolnir Audio.

Renault Clio RS 200 EDC

Hi all,

I dropped by the local Renault dealer and was pretty impressed with the new Clio RS 200 EDC but am concerned with possible issued with the EDC dual clutch gear box. The salesman told me it is a wet clutch box but the reviews I've read online say it is a dry-clutch. Can anyone confirm - wet or dry clutch please?

Also, to those who own and have driven the car, appreciate if you could comment on the gearbox's performance and issues, if any? I've heard of horror stories about VW's 7-speed dry clutch gearbox and wondering if the same issues will be present here in the EDC.
