hi all, i am a mechanical Engineer with 5 years exp and currently working with an OnG company,
and recently i get the job offers from both Aker and BA which is making me quite dilemma ,

For the salary wise, both comp provide me almost the same,
but job scope wise, BA give me a position of Mech Package/Rotating engineer which is exactly the same as what i am doing now, and project involved is doing the engineering for the upcoming Kraken FPSO project.
while Aker does not really tell me which division i am under but just give me a title of Mechanical Engineer which is considered too general for me.

can anyone tell me more about these 2 companies in terms of working environment, benefits and future of these company.

fungus inside the Nikon lens

i have a nikkor 14-24 N lens which discovered that fungus growth in it,
planning to sent to Nikon service center for cleaning,

anyone know roughly it will cost me how much and it takes how many days for cleaning?

Date of transaction: end of June.

Details of the complaint :

If you want to engage your renovation service with this contractor, you need to be extremely and extra patient with them. In the beginning, they served you good but after that, due to their heavy loaded of businesses which are out of their control, this is when their services started to slack big time which I am experiencing now.

You need to push them hard just like how I keep calling them until certain extents that he ignores my call. They keep delaying and as and when I push them till I become paranoid, they came and do some part of job then delay till another 1 or 2 weeks, I call him again, after many attempts then only he picks up your call and gives excuses, then his team comes again and do another part again. He claims that he is busy but the question is am I not one of his customer?Am I not making payment punctually?

It is going to be 3 months now and my renovation job is not completed yet. Besides that, I am just asking them to renovate my kitchen. Just imagine if the renovation covers the entire house, is it going to take me a whole decade to complete? I cannot move in on time and now all of my plans have been delayed... Thanks to you...

hi all sifuss out there..
may i know instead of sending back out gears to SC for cleaning,is there any other ways to clean our sensor?
as there are some dusts on my sensor and mirror which tend to be quite annoying when look into the viewfinder.

can someone state out those steps,equipment needed ,where to buy the equipment and precaution during cleaning process..

i suspect my kit lense which is nikkor 18-55mm out of focus as the images captured are not sharp and low in contrast.
may i know how much should i paid if i sent both my body and lense to NSC for calibration?

air-cond problem

hi all sifu out there..
i m driving an old saga and i just refill my refrigerant 2 months ago
but now when i drive with the speed around 80km/hr, the rpm tend to rev higher then normal which is around 1600-2000rpm when i step on the clutch,
the compressor of the air-cond seems does not cut in at this moment as the air is hot when blowing out from the vents..

and there are sounds like 'shrek shrek shrek' in the car cabin when the air-cond cut in..

may i noe whats is the problem??

car will jerk when it reaches 2k rpm..

sifu out there..
my car is an old carbie saga without autochok

once my car is in idle and i step on the gas paddle and maintain the rpm in 2k..the car wont jerk

and once i drive wif around 2k rpm no matter in what speed or what gear,the car will jeak..in canto mean 'chok chok chok'
after 2k the problem will no occurs

may i noe what is the problem and any solution for that?
and is that what we call 'knocking'?

want to ask all sifu there

when i hit the brake ,my brake will lock my front right handside tire, and my ride will drag and squeezing occurs.ya..just only one side of my tire,and my car still moving although i hit the brake till the end..

when i ask my mechanic he said is normal coz is without abs..and i had skimmed my disc and change to new brake pad..

really need help coz last time almost bang on an stupid drunk driver

timing very high when air con turn off

currently i m driving kancil 660cc year97 and facing a problem of when the air con kicks in,the timing become very low and when it turns off,timing become so high,
and can someone teach me how to tune the timing ??
if possible can someone provide me the pics and stated out which screw that i need to adjust..
