Hi guys,

My pc main usage is Solidworks, Pronesting.

current spec is i5 8500,16gb ram, without graphic card, M.2 ssd 512gb. all the work will be saved into server.

so i m facing lagging issue which i don't know which part i shall upgrade to.

is the ram sufficient ? or need to add graphic card? or i need to upgrade i5 to i7 or i9?

if so, pls recommend,

hey guy, i m struggling to build a cpuu with 3K budget (without monitor)

mainly for solidworks, so do i need to buy workstation gpu?
nvidia or amd will support & perform better in solidworks?

SSD is a must, no need keyboard & speakers
8gb ram enoughh or need 16gb?
need i7 ?
if have to increase budget, can only 3.5 k

hey Lowyat fellow, i m thinking to buy my 1st car with budget below 85k... mainly drive in city + a bit of highway.

do u think i should wait for the newer Vios, which got new engine & CVT gearbox ? or i may just consider city ?

I heard about the new vios will be arrived around October or November.

or do u have alternative car to suggest to me? which u think is better than city , vios...

I have received a letter from lawyer regarding to asking me to pay RM60 being reimbursement of registration fee on caveator consent?

do i really need to pay the lawyer ?

what is caveator consent ? i google still can't get answer.

I have already paid all the necessary fee to the lawyer , and i have got the deed of mutual covenant.

WTA weird movement of cpu temperature

all lowyat forum sifus,

my friend is encountering some temperature issue,
he uses real temp and aida64 to monitor the full load temp of his I7 4790K.

he got the result of the temp: sometime showing 8X'c , while sometime showing 6x'c to 7x'c

usually we only see the temperature going up and up right ? instead of going 8x'c, and then turn to 6x'c to 7x'c

BTW, he is running @ 1.20vcore @4.6ghz , with noctua u12s cpu cooler (1 fan only)

any ideas about the weird movement ?

Hi guys , my i5 4690k at 1.215 can boot into window.. and i get pass result in intel processor diagnostic tool.
However ,it suddenly blue screen and reboot.
How u guys test whether the an oced cpu can run stable enough?

Is it the correct practice like pumping up more and more vcore until i don get a blue screen shown up again ?
Eg, from 1.215 to 1 22, or higher .

Or is there other thing that i have to adjust so that i can still remain using @ 1.215 vcore ?
