Graphics card slot width question

Hi everyone,

I wish to use these cards for SLI in the Asus X99-Pro motherboard (It can only support 2-way SLI because the CPU used is Intel i7 5820K):

Palit GTX 970 Jetstream 4G (http://palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2407)

As far as I know the card takes up 2 slots but the cooler takes 2.5 slot.

I am planning to use both of these cards in the 1st slot and the 4th slot.
Will it interfere with the slot below? (3rd or 6th slot) because I also want to add the included Asus Hyper M.2 X4 adapter.

Building overclockable G3258 on a budget

Hello again.

So far I heard that the 20th Pentium Anniversary Edition are benchmarked and overclocked using high-end hardware.
However, I am really constrained to a very limited budget (RM2500 below).
Will the below configuration is suitable to overclock G3258 up to 4.1GHz (including long term stability)? Or should I change MoBo and/or CPU Cooler?

- Intel Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.1GHz
- 4GBx2 G.Skill Aegis DDR3 1600
- 1TB WD Caviar Blue
- [B]Asrock B85M-HDS (Yeah I know this is a pretty low-end board)
- CM K280 Case
- FSP HEXA+ 450W
- Gainward GT750 2GB DDR5

All these items are from Idealtech (They haven't really overclocked a G3258 yet)

AOC i2369VM vs Dell P2314H

Hello,
I am confused on which monitor to choose between this two...
Previously Dell U2312HM was one of the best selling monitors in Malaysia because it is cheap and has premium pixel guarantee,
Now that the U2312HM is discontinued and replaced by Dell P2314H...
Dell P2314H is inferior to U2312HM in terms of warranty (3 opposed to 5) and brightness (250 cd/m) compared to (300 cd/m) but has AH-IPS instead of e-IPS?
But, does the price difference justify when compared to AOC i2369VM which has 2 HDMI, Displayport and MHL?
Price for i2369VM is RM599 while P2314H best price is RM689.

Hi, I am planning to buy a video editing and gaming rig.

My specs will be as follow:
- intel devil canyon i7 4790k
- 8gb (or 12gb) kingston hyperx fury
- gigabyte r9 290 oc windforce
- Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7
- 250gb samsung ssd 840 evo + 1tb HDD
- CM Haf XB Evo Case
- Seasonic S12G 650 or CM V700 psu
- 24x dvd writer

Should I go for a power supply upgrade or RAM upgrade? I may not be running video editing while gaming.
P.S. Is there any need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 pro in case I want to use Virtual Windows 7?

As far as I know Cooler Master PSUs are almost not recommended,
but why many retailers are still selling it?

By the way, do you recommend the Silent Pro Gold series and V series?
I am looking to purchase a Silent Pro Gold 550W RM269 from Jayacom.

Bonus: Does using poor quality capacitors like CapXon will affect the overall power it can deliver (say it label 500w but in fact can deliver 450w due to poor quality capacitors) or does it affect long term stability?

Which capacity of SSD is optimal for power users?
I am tempting to purchase the Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB @ RM539 Viewnet.
Would that be too much or that's fine for an i7 rig?

Wireless Card Question

Does a 150MBps PCI Wireless Adapter (TL-WN751ND) is good for gaming (like BF4)?
I am using TM UniFi VIP5 (5 MBps), so a 150MBps is good enough for this situation unless I want to transfer data to another computer, then I need 300MBps?
Also is a 300MBps USB adapter performs worse than a 150MBps PCI Adapter?

Question about MSI R9 290

Hello. This is my first time posting here (so I am a newb)!

As far as I know, MSI R9 290 gaming is not suitable for overclocking @ dual Crossfire due to the VRM over heating.
This is especially for the first card (top one).

MSI R9 290 gaming costs RM1499 from Viewnet

But I am in a dilemma. If I want to top up for a Sapphire Tri-x R9 290 @ RM1699 (prices from Viewnet) , it will be out of my budget as my graphics card budget is RM 1500.
The question is, if I am using SINGLE card at the moment, will MSI R9 290 Gaming be an upgrade from the standard R9 290 as it carries the Twin Frozr Gaming cooler?
And also if the next time I want to Crossfire it, I will buy a R9 290 Tri-X from Sapphire, will it be safe to relocate the MSI R9 290 gaming in the slot below?
(1st slot Sapphire, 2nd slot MSI) because the 2nd slot temp was lower.

If it is really deemed unsafe, I will downgrade to a Sapphire R9 280X Toxic @ Rm1299.
