Have any of you been in this situation

Have any of you taken a long break in between careers?

For example you work straight of a total of 4-5 years, and then you decide to take a 6 month to year break for personal reasons (Eg, family matters, pursue other things, write a book, travel etc.)

And when you decide to go back into the workforce, how do you manage the interview at that point?

Can you still ask for increment (normal market rate 30%) or you dont get that much because of the break?

I know these are usually very rare, and they are case by case basis.

Moreover, different people will go through different situations.

It would be great if you could share whatever happened to that situation if you have been through it.

Note: Hiring managers, you may also point out these sort of situation if you have encountered it. (What are like the acceptable reasons for any candidate?)
First bike

Hi All,

I have just been stung by the bike fever and looking into getting a bike.

My intention of getting a 250cc bike is just to learn and and get used to the bike (Most probably weekend ride).

Later on when I'm more confident, then only I will upgrade to a 600 CC and above.

I have ride a bike before but nearby only, not serious riding yet. Thing is I really like sportsbike with fairings compared to naked bike.

Planning to get B full also.

But now I'm thinking whether is it a good thing to get a brand new bike or a used one.

All my friends that tide bikes told me to get used one first, dont waste money on a brand new one because eventually upgrade anyway.

hopefully all sifus here can advise, all suggestions are welcome.

RM3,500 about to buy new car

Hi guys,

I'm deciding to change to a new car. Currently driving a Myvi 1.5 SE year 2011.

With my salary now, I'm thinking of changing to either one of the below cars:

1. Hyundai Elantra
2. KIA cerato
3. Honda City NEW(2014)

still stay with parents now ler...hehe so actually monthly commitment is just the car and everything in it (Eg. roadtax, insurance, installment, parking etc.)

My office damn near my house, 10mins without traffic (of course KL where got no jam wan...heh)

If i trade in my myvi, I will pay off the bank loan for that and the remaining use for down payment.

My myvi last time took RM30k loan (yea my d/p for this car also RM25k).

What car to change?
