Hi all,

I have a friend who is staying in US now, he is trying to play Cabal online game.

But the problem is this Cabal server doesn't accept connection from US IP address.

So is there any software which i can used to change my friend's IP to those IP that can is acceptable by Cabal server?

Keyboard problem

Hi all, the problem is like this:

when my PC was in boot mode just now, it showed can't detect keyboard.

trying to change another keyboard won't do any help.

So I suspected it is my mobo's PS2 port for keyboard spoilt....

Will replacing a USB keyboard solve the problem?

My 320GB Seagate HDD only show me 128GB at windows.

For your information, I am using windows 2000 sp4 and LBA has been enabled.

What other methods that i can use to solve this problem?

Let's say I have 3 switches right now. Let's call them switch A, B and C

Now if i use 2 network cables to connect A and B then B and C and a third cable is used to connect A and C.

Will switching loop occur?

Running fsck command

Today my office 's file sharing server (using RH8) display some file system error on the screen to me

Therefore i run the fsck /home command and it still seems scanning till now.

Now the screen will display me some strange symbol.

Is that consider normal? this is my first time troubleshooting a Linux server

My Place has 5 PC and lets name name as A, B, C, D and E respectively.

Now the problem is neither A can access B nor B can access A.

But both of them can access C, D, and E and C, D, and E also can access them.

All PCs are using Win2k as OS.

So any helps from you guys are much appreciated

Run-time errro '462'

Hi all, my pc popup the following error message:

Run-time error '462'.
The remote server machine does not exist or not found.

After this error box appear, i can't copy and paste file from my PC.

Can't open my drive

Hi guys, here's a question.

This problem started last night, i clicked 'My Computer' icon and then when i try to open 'Local Disk(D:)', a message box pop up and stated ' please go to control panel to install and configure windows components'. the same goes to my other 2 partition E and F.

Only C is openable by double clicking, while the other 3 partitions will pop me the message above.

What can i do to solve my problem?

p/s: i manage to enter Local Disk(D:), E, and F by choosing Explore options and i am using win XP.

BSOD while logging into windows at welcome screen

FYI, i am using windows 2000, this morning when i open my PC, it failed at logging into the windows and turned to BSOD which give me this:

0x0000006B (0xc0000018, 0x00000005, 0x00000000,
0x00000000) PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

after that i try to boot into safe mode and it can be done! Then i try to log into windows but BSOD again! Then i try to use 'last known good configuration' and it successfully boot into windows. but then once i restarted it, the problem come again! This mean that i only can login to windows only when i use the 'last known good configuration' thingy.

what should i do in my next step?
