it is sad how malaysians these days are so oblivious and gullible due to low financial literacy which can easily be improved by going on lowyat forum more.
here's one example. other posters can add more of their examples here to discuss.

the excerpt below shows a unit trust agent scaring people that using more cash to buy a house will invite trouble
it would only invite trouble if you have been running away from income tax
really not a problem if you're a salaried employee with PCB every month without much questionable income
secondly the estimation and calculation by the agent below is really really speculative and inaccurate

since i am always on contract, i only worked for 4 years as a salaried staff
but during that time as perm staff thanks to commissions when i was working for an international bank in malaysia, i did get monthly EPF of about 4k
but that was those days lah

anyway back to the point, what is the best way to withdraw the money i have?

1) i don't have any properties in malaysia now. all under my wife's name
2) i don't have loans so cannot withdraw to offset for ANY loan
3) i am also not having any disease where i can withdraw from EPF for it
4) i don't wish to invest my EPF in some stupid schemes such as public mutual. i wanna fucking withraw it all.

please suggest any workaround?

I smell a dirty rat, a setup here, if there ever was one. I am appalled that the media is buying into the innocent "inventor" story. This is not about race or religion -- it is about someone purposefully taking a menacing device to school.

What if a kid were to take an upper from one AR-15 rifle, and a lower from another AR-15 rifle and put it together, then remove the firing pin and take it to school as a metal worker "inventor"? Why, anyone who knew anything about rifles could closely examine the metal object had no firing pin and would celebrate what a great inventor the kid was!!! NOT!!!! How many people at a school could closely examine the inside of this briefcase with a countdown clock visible on the outside counting down to 00:00 and make the call as to its purpose? Again, what is inside that white bag?
