leaking ac compressor

My car's ac compressor is leaking gas right at the top between the unit and steel plate connecting to the piping system..i was thinking it is probably caused by worn out seals in between.

Also, there seems to be some leaked oil collecting underneath the unit which i again assumed it was caused by defective shaft seals. The mechanic that i went to told me to switch it with a recon compressor but i dont really want to.

So, does anyone of you know a place in KL where they can fix the problem like a true mechanic? and also, does changing the seals a better option compared to switching to a recon compressor in terms of cost? Because i know some of them are in for a quick buck only
