PC not working normally

Dear All,

My PC recently has some strange problem. Firstly no display, however i find out there's display if using VGA, when use HDMI no display...so Graphic card problem? or mobo?
before go into Windows, no display too if using HDMI, which means if i wan to go into BIOS, i need to switch to VGA

Then my network adapter suddenly gone!! go into the device manager to check and its gone!! try clear cmos, reinstall driver (can't install coz not detected) all no luck

SO i don't know what's actually wrong...I guess is mobo??

btw my pc is E8400 C2D with Asus p5QL Pro mobo.

I Google Mostly said mechanical HDD don't need Sata 3 coz theoretically they can't reach that bandwidth..

AVR Doubt

Dear All,

Would like to ask few things :

1) Those HDMI output from AVR to TV does it carry audio signal? ie can i hear sound from both TV and speakers connected to AVR at the same time?

2) IS it everything inputted to the AVR through HDMI will be amplified and outputted to speakers? eg i connect Media player to it

3) Whats recommended speaker brand? limited budget...1K plus...

Hi..i hav a media player and it comes with HDMI & 3 RCA output (1 - video & 2 audio)

can i connect the HDMI output to my LCD TV and RCA audio to my 2.1 Altec Lansing?

In short, i wan to use HDMI & RCA audio at the same time..... will it work??

Pls help or suggest alternatives...thanx..

Hi all..I'm not sure I'm out of topic or not...but i just wan to get help....

I got 1 media player and I connect it to my LCD Full HD TV with HDMI cable...

I just wondering if i can connect the audio output of the player to my Altec Lansing speaker...

The problem is video & audio signal are all carried by HDMI cable...n not sure how to split it...

Dear All,

Really appreciate for your advice.....

My problem starts with sudden shut down (totally off like blackout) of my PC & i smell something burn

try several times to start but it won't

So i get a new Power Supply n try....it starts a while but then got smoke coming out....quickly turn off the main switch
I observed that the power cable connected to my DVD Rom burn badly....

Send the power supply for warranty n get back a new one.....Try connect eveything but the DVD Rom....It starts like normal but when i shut down and restart it wont!!!!

Try unplug my display card which is Gigabyte Geforce 8600 GT and it runs....Install my GC again, fail to start...

So my questions :

1) Is my DVD ROm faulty??or short circuit??

2) Is my Display Card Faulty?otherwise y cant my PC start??

BTW, may i know wat's the wattage requirement for my GC??i use cap palang Power Supply which is 450W

hi all....need help from u all...

this problem actually exist sometime ago....but i din bother..

anything (pen drive, ext HDD, memory card etc) plug into my laptop it'll request for driver...which i think it's unnecessary since i'm running Vista...

same thing happen to my newly bought printer...even after install the driver, it still asking for driver....

Bluetooth also cant detect HP bluetooth....

also tried with celcom broadband usb modem...also ask for driver...wth...

may i know wat's happening??is it virus activity??

wish to have suggestion from u all...thanx...

hi all..i hope this is the right place for my problem...

I have 4 HDD in my PC ,
1 IDE 80GB
1 SATA 250GB
2 SATA 500GB

Win XP Pro SP2 OS on 80GB HDD

1) out of sudden, dat HDD got ticking sound....so i guess it's gone!!( I wish to get the file inside if can....)

2) surprisingly, my 250GB SATA HDD bcome dynamic disk!!!i duno wat's happening...I try to install OS to 1 of the 500Gb HDD n try to access 250Gb HDD.It can b detected but cant b seen in "my computer" may i know how can i get my 250GB HDD back in action?I need the data inside.....any software recommendation?

3) Now the worst thing, the OS in the 500GB HDD only work for 1 day...when i restart on the next day, it shows NTDLR missing..
i try to reinstall XP on the HDD but the HDD was not seen in the SETUP...WTF...

I guess i have a bad day...anyone can provide some help here??
I guess i might get a new HDD while trying to recover all my file...

Hi

I got an external HDD 2.5" 250BG with normal enclosure

It cant be detected using my desktop or laptop.
I went to PC shop and test and find out casing problem.
So i buy a new casing and test on my PC and STILL CANT BE DETECTED!!! but at PC shop is OK

What is the problem??

Hi my S775 intel CPU can c/w my E2160 seems to be noisy....is your intel fan experiencing the same??I think the noise is louder than those 80mm fan noise...

If i change a new CPU cooler will it reduce the noise?

Hi all..

With ur all past experience, pls share with me any nice and silent fan u all had been using before or now...

I find out the fan in my chassis quite noisy for me...

I think mainly the noise is from PSU fan (80mm)..any way..i still got other 2 80mm fan..1 for intake and the other fro exhaust

Hi all..

Just wondering about one thing here...I just bought Altec Lansing 4121 speaker, then everytime i switch it on, there's a low requency sound.."boooooooo" the sound not really loud but u can feel it if u swtich it off and on...

I know there's no big deal for this sound as it's unnoticeable after i play movie or songs....but just wondering is it normal???Anyone of u using this speaker n alse same case wif me??thanx...

I'm going to buy a new LCD monitor but before that i would like to gather some information from u all...

U can comment base on the question below :

1) 19" or 21"? Price different around RM300. That may b nothing for u all but means a lot for me. Is it worth for it?

2) What brand??Acer, ASUS, Samsung, LG, Bend etc etc. Pls dun mind to share base on ur experience.

3) Is CR really matters?? (coz i read from website that our eyes can't differentiate for CR higher than 500:1 unless the environment is really really DARK)

4) Other consideration....

No offence k if there's any argument go on. I hope the comment that u all provide not benefit me only but for all other formers.

Small movie screen on TV

Hi all,

I'm wondering y the movie screen on my TV is small when i output from my laptop. The movie i play is AVI format and is around 700MB.

There are black bars on top and bottom of TV and the movie screen i think only half of my TV screen. BTW my TV is 29" Sony Wega CRT TV.

1)Is it my TV resolution problem??

2) Will the screen bigger if i get a LCD TV?

3) Other reason??

Really very appreciate if u can tel me y this happen...

my connection to internet will terminate randomly n suddenly....sometimes fast..(few minutes only) n sometimes a bit longer..(mayb 1 hour if i'm lucky). To regain the connection, i have to restart my laptop...May I know y is this happening???It also happen even i just format my laptop....n this problem only occur recently...

FYI, I got another desktop PC sharing the same network n modem n did not come across this problem...

Ur advise pls...thanx...
