SATA 3 is available?

Hi guys,
Looking for some pointers here. Installed my spare SSD on a caddy tray - meant for the DVD/ Blue Ray slot.
When running the Samsung Magician Software, it is showing as SATA 3 is available.

Interface:
SATA 2 (3GB/s)
SATA 3 is available

Seriously, royally confused.
Does that mean that the DVD/ Blue Ray slot is actually a SATA 3 slot?
But then, the caddy tray is running on SATA2?
Then, i need to replace the caddy tray to SATA 3?
Looking forward to your feedback.

GOB rights issue - please advice.

Hi guys - wanna ask some questions about the Global Oriental Bhd rights issue. It is for 1 to 1.
Assuming:
- The rights issue is on Monday 28th Apr'14,
- rights issued at RM0.50,
- number of shares prior to the rights issue = 30,000 @ bought at RM1.11
- market price on Friday 25th Apr'14 closing is at RM1.11

What happens when the investor
(1): does not subscribe to the rights issue,
(2): subscribe fully to the rights issue?

My thinking:
The ex price (on Monday 28th Apr'14) is at (RM1.11+RM0.50)/2= RM0.81? (Is this correct?)

If the investor does not subscribe to the rights issue, hence, he lose out RM1.11 - RM0.81 = RM0.30.
If the investor subscribe to the rights issue, then his portfolio is at parity with the market EX price.

Is my understanding correct?

What color to match door frame with wooden door?

Hi all;
I need some help with choosing of colors. This is for the interior wooden door + interior wooden door frame for the entrance into my room. The color of the wooden door itself is actually a high gloss chocolate brown. Now, i am trying to choose the color for the door frame to match against the door itself.

What do you guys think of the Russet color (nippon wood and metal collection - Soft Matt Color) for the door frame? Is the Russet color a good match with Chocolate Brown for the door?
I am trying to create a Rustic / Scandinavian look.

THe only problem that i can foresee is that both the wooden door frame + wooden door itself is dark in color. There is not much color contrast.

Mattress to reduce back pain

Hi all;
I need some advice in choosing the right mattress to rectify my back pain. About my posture;

tall guy: > 190cm
posture: abit slouching to the front and abit to the right.
size: moderate to big size
(will grow wider in the future due to intensive body building)
type of bed: queen size (tried sleeping on a super single bed at Harvey Norman but end up falling down on to the floor when turning over) ~ SERIOUS !

Currently, i am being advised by the sales assistant at Harvey Norman that i should try sleeping on a firm bed to reduce my back pain. He keeps pushing me the Hilker Gomez. I tried it and felt it is ok.

Hence, do you guys have any advice? Also, how about the brand Tempur? is it good for posture/ reduce back pain?

MeaningLESS life.

For a long time now, i felt my life is meaningLESS. All my peers around me seem to have advanced in their life. At early 30s, most have settled down and getting ready to manufacture some babies. They seem to have the much alluded 5Cs - car, cash ($), credit card ($$), career and condominium.

The problem is i am still lacking in the last 2Cs - career and condominium.

Everyday, i just drag myself to work - just to punch those hours. It seems there is ZERO prospect in this company to grow my career. Higher ups just talk a good game and upon close scrutiny - all they care about is their "longevity/ shelf life". In addition, i lost faith in my profession.

Condominium is really expensive in Penang Island. The going market rate for a decent condominium whereby the crowd are a bunch of working professionals - instead of hooligans who just care to smoke weed, get high and break into your damn house - is about RM550K. RM550K is for the 1200 square feet shoe box hanging in the sky and this does not include the management fees of RM200 per month. HONESTLY??? RM550K??? The management fees is a big joke. The money is better spend paying for insurance premium than paying for facilities that you don't really care to use. Who is going to foot the medical bills/ surgeries when the inevitable occurs?

Hence, at 30+, I still stay with my parents. This really makes me feel really SAD - like a real loser.

And here is the kicker. I don't even have a girlfriend - never really dated in my life. I guess girls just hate a shallow, dead wood type of guy who by and large has bucked the expectation set upon by the society. In my mind - i still have this image of the little lost boy - the one who always work extremely hard - just to prove to his mum he is better than his siblings and he is worth something. Sometimes, i felt so low that i don't even bother looking at myself in the mirror.

DIY - How to paint wooden Door Frame?

Hi all,
Need some advice on how to paint my wooden door frame. Picture is attached. The original colour is cream and the original paint has been there for more than 10 years. Naturally, the paint has become one with the wood. I tried to chip off the original paint without much success. For the original paint that came off, the underneath colour is green. That is weird. Am i doing the right thing? My plan is to match the colour of the wooden door frame with the wooden door itself (as the wooden door has recently been shellac with a dark colour). Hence, my questions are:

(1): do i need to remove the original colour (cream) before applying a new coat of paint?
(2): if yes, how to remove this original colour (cream)? What are the tools required?
(3): for the original paint that was chipped off, the underneath colour is green. This is weird. Am i doing the right thing? I expect to see the colour brown.
(4): what are the steps involved? remove the door ----> chip off the original paint ------> sanding -----> wood sealer -----> double coat of paint -----> what colour code?
(5): any other steps involved?
[attachmentid=3837535]

Painting new paint over old paint (same color).

Hi all,
Wanna ask for some advice. Recently, my contractor just finished painting my room - approximately about 2 weeks ago. I notice his work is not really well done - in the sense of the wall preparation. There are some visible irregularities like "cracks/ ridges/ etc" and the wall is not that smooth.

I plan to DIY spot patching up the "irregularities" - like applying ready made joint compound, sand smooth it and repaint those spots.

However, my concern is whether the NEW paint (same color here - no change) will cause DIFFERENT SHADES when painting over the OLD paint.

This is because it has been 2 weeks now...since the contractors have completed his work.
