IPO: Vestland Berhad

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Construction company Vestland Bhd has obtained Bursa Malaysia's approval to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on the ACE Market.

The IPO involves 240.8 million shares, comprising a public issue of 170 million new shares and an offer for sale of 70.8 million existing shares.

Vestland managing director Datuk Liew foo Heen said proceeds raised from the IPO would be used to supplement the group's working capital requirements.

"This IPO approval marks an important milestone in our history, and we aim to further solidify our footing in the construction industry by leveraging on our design and build capabilities," he said in a statement.

Of the new share issuance, 47.2 million shares will be made available to the Malaysian public while 27.7 million shares will be allocated to eligible directors and staff.

The remaining 95 million shares will be made available through private placement to Bumiputera investors approved by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti).

For the existing 70.8 million shares offered for sale, 47.8 million will be allocated for private placement to selected investors and 23 million shares will be made available through private placement to Bumiputera investors approved by Miti.

AmInvestment Bank is the IPO's principal adviser, sponsor, placement agent and underwriter.

KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Kitacon Bhd has received approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia to list on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

Kitacon, through its proposed wholly-owned subsidiary Kitacon Sdn Bhd, specialises in township construction, including residential and non-residential buildings within a development.

Kitacon's managing director Tan Ah Kee said the company aimed to leverage its established track record and services to continue growing its core competency and deliver long-term value to stakeholders.

"We intend to use the proceeds from the initial public offering (IPO) to support our business growth and strengthen our footing in the construction industry.

"We are confident that we will be able to grow our business moving forward, leveraging on long-established business relationships that we have built with our customers over the years," he said.

The company's IPO entails a public issue of 76.08 million new shares and an offer of sale of 62.5 million existing shares.

Of the shares allocated for the public issue, 10 million will be made available for the Malaysian public, while 8.58 million will be made available for application by eligible directors, employees, and individuals who have contributed to the company.

The remaining 57.5 million shares will be made available to institutional and selected investors through private placement.

RHB Investment Bank Bhd is the principal adviser, sole underwriter and sole placement agent for the IPO.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 15): Sheet metal fabrication firm Coraza Integrated Technology Bhd has filed a draft prospectus for an initial public offering (IPO) on the ACE market.

According to its draft IPO prospectus posted on the Securities Commission Malaysia website, the proposed IPO will involve 139.21 million shares, comprising 117.79 million new shares and an offer for sale of up to 21.42 million existing shares.

Of the 117.79 million new shares to be issued, 21.42 million each will be allocated to the Malaysian public, and eligible directors and employees, while 79.96 million will be issued by way of private placement to selected investors.

The group plans to use the IPO proceeds to build a new factory with an estimated construction cost of RM14.28 million.

It also plans to use part of the proceeds to extend its existing factory, purchase new machinery, implement enterprise resource planning system, and repay its bank borrowings.

M&A Securities has been appointed as the IPO adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent.

Coraza Integrated Technology is principally involved in the fabrication of sheet metal and precision machined components, as well as the provision of related services.

Sheet metal, which is metal formed by industrial process into thin, flat pieces, is one of the fundamental forms used in metalworking, as it can be cut and bent into various shapes and sizes. It is used in the making of countless everyday objects.

The group’s profit after tax for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020, rose 84.52% to RM6.31 million, from RM3.42 million a year ago, as revenue grew 42.82% to RM83.69 million from RM58.59 million.
