This guy claims co being racist

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?stor...100009033240961

So this guy wrote a post this morning condemning the company for wasting his time and being racist.

[attachmentid=9211829]

From my point of view:

1) The recruiter was nice enough to inform him that he didn't make the cut and was being honest rather than leaving him hanging. He/She took some time off his SATURDAY morning to give this dude a call. It's not like everyone wants to work on a weekend.

2) Having worked at an international bank myself, I know that depending on the department/role, sometimes majority of our client base are those Chinese uncles who can't speak English or even understand how to prepare accounts. Sometimes the role is focusing on clients based in China who has operations locally, the bank would definitely need someone who speaks Chinese. So there is nothing wrong if they needed someone who can speak Chinese. The bank I worked at even hired Chinese staffs and placed them all over the world including Africa, Middle East etc to solely handle Chinese clients.

3) Having the mentality and the audacity to make this comment, I'd say the recruiter made the right call not to hire him. If every bank who deals with Chinese clients move out of Malaysia, the economy will surely collapse. To make matters worse, many of his friends are supporting what he did. I guess the saying 'birds of the same feather flocks together' is true in this instance.

I'm so sick of young Malaysians who has these sense of entitlement.

Edit: Made the last statement a little easier to understand.

Bodo tahap dewa

Saw this on FB. This is the most retarded thing I've ever read. Apparently this guy is a teacher.

QUOTE

~ Biarkan 'mereka' berhutang dengan kita. ~

Kadang seminggu sebelum gaji dah sesak dah. Jadi ini yang sering aku lakukan.

Purata bil air rumah aku sekitar RM30, bil letrik sekitar RM200, bil telefon RM70 x 2 ( bini aku satu). Hari pertama masuk gaji, aku terus bayar segala jenis bil. Setiap bil aku bayar lebih.
Contohnya bil air ini, walau dah tahu purata penggunaan sebulan hanya sekitar RM30, namun setiap bulan aku konsisten bayar RM50. Bil api aku konsisten bayar RM230.

Macam nak raya Aidilfitri tempoh hari, duit nak pakai banyak. Tak padan nak tanggung semua perbelanjaan raya dengan duit gaji aku. Ala, setahun sekali sakan la sikit kita sambut.

Maka musim raya lepas, aku tak bayar segala jenis bil-bil. Apa nak risau, semua bil negatif.

Begitulah cara aku 'menyimpan'. Kau pula macam mana?

SOS

Why do people link everything back to GOD?

I do believe in God. I'm a Buddhist. However I always feel like there's an extent to how much faith I could really put in to God.

For example, when someone gets a promotion. They say "Thank the Lord" etc etc. What about his/her own hard work?? Should that be discounted? Would he/she be able to get that promotion had they put 100% faith in God?

Someone shared a post on FB. It's about a conversation between the TS and a taxi driver. Someone created myTeksi app and apparently the taxi driver thanks God. Link here but don't waste your time reading.

I got a job recently. My aunt come and say to me "you must thank Jesus". I don't know why people think I got a job because of God instead of my own hard work. So if its not because of God, I would never have a job?

The recent earthquake. People say God is angry because some people went nude on the mountains. I don't know what to say about this.

Someone posted a photo of a beautiful tree on FB. People starts commenting "God is almighty". Someone replied "What about science?" and the reply to that was "God created science". Then what about all the work men has put in? Are those for nothing?

Friends/relatives wants to buy me lunch. Suddenly on the way he/she says "Hey we gotta take a detour to church before lunch. Don't worry, there's no Christianity preaching today". But when I got there its all about trying to brainwash new-comers into joining.

The list goes on and on and on.

Note this is Serious Kopitiam. Just want to know how/what people think about this. Refrain from race/religion bashing here.

Tax planning for sole prop

Friend own a sole prop that has chargeable income in the highest tax bracket. He's thinking of buying a car under the company to reduce chargeable income.

If he buys a new car, there is capital allowance. But there is a couple of difference so he's not sure which way to go. What are the pros and cons of buying outright, leasing and hire purchase?

Next, if he's thinking of second hand car, iinm there is no capital allowance. But are there any deductions for the lease/HP/interest payments?

Are there any other ways to reduce Chargeable income via planning? All suggestions are welcomed.

I recently got a BSOD on my i5-6640. Everything is new so I don't know what the problem is. Thinking it may be overheat, I ran HWiNFO but I'm not sure about the readings.

[attachmentid=4400268]

Edit: My gpu idles at 36-40 and under load around 65 degrees.

I see that temp3,4,5 are pretty high on idle but not sure what those are. EDIT: Googled around, apparently these temps are invalid.

Can anyone tell me if my com is overheating? Are my temps okay? Because when the guy was installing my pc I saw him install the HSF on the proc, remove it and resit it again. Should I reapply thermal paste?

Or any other issues that might have caused my com to crash when I browse youtube?

I have the Asus H81M-D motherboard. Everytime I shut down all my usb devices are still powered and this is pretty annoying to me. I know I could just turn off my psu power but my power socket is hidden so its not really easily accessible.

I tried googling for 2 days but nothing. Most people just say "enable erp/eup" but there's no erp/eup settings in my bios. I went through each item in my bios so I don't think I have missed it..

Anyone has any ideas

Fan controllers

I recently bought a couple of CM sickleflow x 120mm fans. My mistake for assuming all CM products is good and not checking reviews first (it says SILENT but its NOT!!).

Anyway, I read that fan controllers may be able to solve the noisy fan problems. Anyone can recommend me a simple one with auto speed adjustments? I'm on a budget so obviously looking for cheap bang for buck ones.

Was looking at NZXT Sentry 2 but read reviews saying its not reliable.

Drivers?

Usually when I reformat a windows 7 pc it automatically downloads all the drivers it need.

Today when I installed a fresh copy of windows 7, it didn't have the vga driver. So I plugged in an old gpu which works (miraculously). Then I realised it didn't have lan driver. And internet connection is needed to download the drivers

Anyway, I downloaded the lan driver on another com and installed it in the new com and it worked. Now the problem is with the internal graphics. I tried downloading from the website (Asus H81M-D) but it couldn't install.

Any ideas?

Need some recommendation

Hi guys, I am looking to get a few new pc parts and reuse some old components.

I am currently using this: HP Compaq dx2710 mt. I'll be using the hard drive inside and maybe the psu (not sure if it can support the new mobo), and casing. Also there is a cooler master heatsink on the mobo (should I install it in the new mobo?).

I'm thinking of getting a new mobo, proc, ram, ssd, gpu. My budget is around RM1500.

I use my com mainly for research purposes and as such I have about 30 or so tabs open at any one time. My current pc can't support newer games and I'm hoping my new one would.

I'll be going to the digital mall to check it out but I'm hoping anyone here could give me a rough idea on what brand/model/specs to look for.

To sum it up, currently I have:

HP stock psu
WD 1tb HDD + 500gb HDD
HP stock casing
CFA, SC module 12&19

Hi guys, I have an ACCA qualification and I plan to pursue CFA.

The requirements from the CFA website:

QUOTE

1. Meet the entrance requirements:

Have a bachelor's (or equivalent) degree
or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program at the time of registration*
or have four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related)
or have a combination of professional work and college experience that totals at least four years. Part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment.

I do not have a bachelor's degree. I am wondering if I can pursue CFA using my ACCA itself instead? I have 0 work experience.

Additionally, I read that to work in Corporate Finance, I need to take another examination which is the SC module 12 and 19. I am a little confused regarding this license (any info what is this about would be great). From their website, examination fees are RM200 and that only SIDC offers classes for this. Is it possible to self-study the module 12? Where do I register (seems like I keep going back to the SIDC preparatory course website)?

Possibly partly due to S5's slightly prominent bass and that push in the upper mid-range bringing out more detail with vocals and guitars. Overall, I find S5 to have better tone. If you put both in-front of me for a fun listening experience I would take the S5 as I simply find it more involving and an enjoyable listen. I don't see S5 having any problem sitting next to earphones like the $200 Dunu DN-1000 or being an alternative for those who want to save some money, because you're not missing terrible amounts here. I think what Brainwavz have done is stay moderately safe while showing people what a dynamic driver in 2014 can offer for just $99. Could I use S5 every day and be happy? Yes, yes I could, and that's what makes an IEM for me worth using, when it can offer up an above normal listening experience without making me feel underwhelmed.

Full review here

Hi, I am supplying some stuff to my customer overseas. However this new client requested for a guarantee that the goods will be delivered. I never faced this issue before so I tried searching "letter of guarantee" online but all results are the letter of guarantee for visa application.

Anyone can point me to a sample of the correct letter I need?
