hi all sifu

i'm looking a dekstop system for own use, basically will need a good graphic card and RAM i suppose, as i need to use the 3D software ( catia v5 and solidworks 2008/09), sometime i need to do it at home although ald hv one powerfull pc in company.

so i'm not very expert in IT and hardware, thus, not sure the newly technology now sweat.gif , so will need all sifu advice on what kind of system will fulfill requirement like me, mainly on CAD drawing n i'm not gaming person ( but i believe if the system can support CAD it sure will support those 3d game as well isn't? rolleyes.gif :-))

my budget is about RM2500+ or up to 3k..(as cheap as possible sweat.gif ;-)

i have search some of the machine like hpP6245d/Slimline S5200, it's seem is the right choice for me, but my friend told me that the customize build will be chaper and more powerfull spec will get. true? will i get 0%installment on customize build pc in shop?

another issue, does anyone know is that possible to fix a vaio laptop ( VGN-FS-415B), which have power failure (suddenly shut down and no respond to power input/battery only/changed socket...)? other wise will need to send to sony service center, worth to do it?
