TV went kaput, Courts giving a new free TV

So, my 2 years+ Philips just had a problem with screen last week.
Part on the left showing darker colour than right side.
Technician said it was due to board failure and took it for repair last Tuesday.

Since it is still under warranty (I took extended warranty +1 more year for about RM130 when I purchased last time), today Courts called me and said it is not repairable and please come to Courts to take a new TV.

I can stick to 43'' same model for free.
OR
I can upgrade with RM 1199 discount price.

Highly probably I'm just gonna upgrade and it comes at the right time with CNY promotion so the TV already on discounted prices.

I'm looking for either 50" or 55", looking at Samsung or LG with 4K and SMART TV function.

Been reading for a while on the price, reliability and screen quality. Any model suggestion?

Opening A Pharmacy - Is It Worth It?

Hi,

My wife is a pharmacist and working with KKM now. And out of nowhere, her mom just suggest to open her own pharmacy and her mom be the funder. Since she is just working about 4 years now and never have any business before, kinda afraid to leave promising job to start a new business.

I can get the technical requirements like shop size, dispensing area etc from the pharmacist guidelines but still need more info on the non-technical parts.

Anyone here have a pharmacy? Can you enlighten me a bit on these?
- What's the entry cost?
- I live in an area where most people work makan gaji. It's not packed yet but expected to be. Lots of new development and no pharmacy yet so far close to this area. What are other requirements that you consider before choosing the area?
- How much is the overhead monthly on average? If my wife doesn't want to quit from job, then there must a certified pharmacist avail at all time right? What's the average salary for the pharmacist?
- How long do you need to have money to sustain before calling it a quit if it doesn't bring any profit? A year?
- What's the average sales per day should we expecting? I heard from a friend working in private pharmacy, sometime sales can go as low as RM 200 only per day.

Any other info I should know before entering the business?

Sorry if there is already a thread on this. But I found one way back 2008.
Side by Side Fridge: Hisense or Samsung?

Hi, this gonna be the first series of pool question to decide on appliances for my new house.

Currently using a small, 2 door (top freezer) fridge and thinking to upgrade by the time i move in new house mid this year.

Need to buy first to make sure it fit well with kitchen cabinet.

Only 2 criterias that I want for this new fridge:
1) side by side. Want a big fridge (since not gonna change for the next 5-10 years at least) but to minimize the door clearance since I will have a kitchen island.
2) energy saving. 5 star energy saving rating is a huge ++.

A) Hisense
I went to SenQ and saw this Hisense 4 door fridge with a very cool glass like finishing. It looks like a kitchen cabinet door. Really love it since it will well blend with the whole cabinet. Plus price is less than 3k. But I never have any experience using Hisense product before. Is it okay for long term usage?

B) Samsung
If I'm not taking the Hisense, I'm just gonna take this Samsung side-by side fridge. Price 3k++ but the look is nice clean design.

Or do u have any other recommended side by side frigde?

[Home Appliances] Dishwasher

I rarely see any dishwasher use in Malaysia. Does it really worth it to have one?

I'm a family of 3 and both me and my wife have a hectic 9-5 jobs but she loves to cook almost everyday. I normally do the dish washing but sometime works caught me late and once home all is cleaned and ready for dinner.

We never use a dishwasher before but I have a quick few months experience while staying in NZ and Aus few years back and it was quite good and save u time on washing the dishes and cooking pots pans etc.

I'm planning to get Bosch as I heard it is quite reliable. Budget roughly 2.5k - 3k. Looking for built in.

Is there any issue with no hot water supply?
Has anyone here got experience with smell, maintenance etc?
Which brand do u recommend most?

Thanks!
