hello all,

Does anyone experience slowness when importing clip into iMovie. Slowness in the sense of...it took me roughly 40 minutes to import 10 minute worth clip..is this normal during video editing..? Is there anyway to reduce the time to import those clip so that i can focus more on the edit part..not the waiting part..i need help..

The file is a mpg4 avi file *not so sure about the file type* (highest detail setting during conversion from VOB or DVD)..file size around 400++mb..i convert those clip from dvd.

For system info..I am using intel duo core 20''..1 Gb memory..

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance....

NNQ

Guys, i need ur advise.

I have a intel dual core imac with 512 mb ram. I want to upgrade it to 1GB ram. Should i go with one 1GB memory or add another 512mb ram.

Can i use kingston ram which is cheaper compared to original apple ram? can it work with the intel imac? I ask around apple ram will cost me around RM 490 - 500 for a 512MB .. whereas 1GB kingston around 400 ++ only..

Can someone help me.thank you in advance

nnq
